Liked the video production… feels suspenseful like an action movie!
I have a knocking at the top of the shock when I turn, swerve, or hit
bumps.., not sure exactly if I actually need to buy a new shock/strut or
not.,
Ok first off you don’t have to drop the subframe to get the struts out,
I’ve removed mine several times without touching the subframe. Each time I
have replaced mine I have not damaged the ball joint either… you took a
simple job and turned it into a professionals only job.. I have dropped my
subframe once to change a A/C clutch without removing the compressor and
its not a simple task….
Precious piece of advice. It took me 4.5 hours to replace both front struts
assemblies in my 2003 Ford Taurus SE. Drop the subframe guys if you want to
avoid replacing lower ball joints. Remember about wheel alignment after
couple of days.
