Zoro Zornes says:

You will be LUCKY if it lasts 3 months . Remember next Take a small
hammer and Knock in the holes about a half inch , this give you enough
product so when you sand it flush there will still be some Bondo in the
holes , Also use 36 or 40 grit on the metal before applying bondo ,, it
isn’t waterproof clean behind and spray a medium coat of rubberized
undercoat , it helps waterproof the repair NAPA sells a fiber gel that is
waterproof and mixes and dries and sands like bondo … good luck ..

NinjightNationCorp says:

Is there shrooms in this video.. I swear man, I’m freaking out.

Lawrence Eich says:

I tink I would have cleaned up both sides of panel and use dura glass it’s
a water proof too! And will last many years!

pecka2k says:

Im no car expert apart from my own experience but you should really put
some rust treatment on that. Also your filler was too sloppy and you should
use a flexible spreader.

ROGELIO MONTZMA says:

and my friend, they will charged u alots more than a 250.00 dlls more like
800.00 dlls thx again

andrew wilson says:

Ahh the good old days. Used to do this when I was a kid. Didn’t last long
but was quick and easy.

Don Ding says:

More then likely that rust is rusting from the back out. You really need
to cut it out, the repair may last for a year if your at least until you
can see it again but the rust is still happening.

ROGELIO MONTZMA says:

U did a great job , thx for taking ur time to show us how to fix the rust
in our vehicles

Rigoberto Rodriguez III says:

I clearly dont understand the comments of this project. Yes it isnt a
proffesional job, and maybe yes, it’ll come back in a couple years. BUT
first off. if you’re such a pro… then why are you looking at this video
or any similar video to start with? This job proffesionally would cost
about $800 depending in what state. But for about $80 to last roughly 2
years or so, this isnt bad at all. Thanks for the video man. i’ll
deffinately try it. it may not be perfect and paint wont match 100% But you
have to look at it to notice it. And THAT’s an improvement right there!

Eric Loar says:

I am going to vomit.

Chuck Norris says:

I feel sick…

Farmer2492 says:

Ray Rose says:

Rust converter helps a lot

emman10101 says:

What is that white stuff?

camerl2009 says:

bondo is just a way of covering the problem should really weld in a patch

chris walkden says:

thanks for the great info video. planning to tackle the numerous nightmare
rust spots i have on my van when i get the time. tried fixing rust patches
before and they come back.

North Perth Mechanics says:

Amazing technique. Rusty things will come out soon, now we already know how
to prevent it. Good job!

Eddie Aparecido says:

Very nice video, thanks a lot.

Topix Skil says:

I’m 14 I can do better

andy nelson says:

I would beat the rust. Hole area in about 3/4 inch, put a layer of fibre
glass bondo like dura glass then maybe some bondage over that

Jon Elswick says:

If you ever make a repair like this again I would recomend using the
fiberglass reinforced bondo for a base and then the regular to top coat, I
would also recomend using the plastic bondo soreades they really make it
easy to follow the body lines of the vehicle and they spread it real
smooth. Overall I think you did a great job for a first attemt.

oscarskikazz says:

im doing a 92 integra any suggetions to help with spots like the hood and
with holes in fender s

Richard Bowman says:

You have no idea what you are doing ha just kidding I would let you work on
my truck

Bjulle2 says:

How long did it last? Comin back yet?

karlakatie1522 says:

I hate bondo

Amanuky Vang says:

i have a 97 toyota corolla. almost the whole left fender is rust. should i
just buy a new one from the junk yard? or try and fix it?

Jamiatul Imam Al Bukhari says:

Is that why the American car industry is dead?

tapper88 says:

Only way to fix rust is cut it out, and weld new metal in

Tom Swinburn says:

I have some serious rust issues on an old truck. Some rust holes 3/4 ” wide
X 4″ long. I’m gonna cut out ALL the affected metal and use fiberglass for
the repairs. Prior to glassing it I’ll liberally apply phosphoric acid to
(I hope) prevent the rust coming back. Not SURE it’ll work, but I’ve got
time, no money. Some fairly complicated compound curves, but I think with
mat and glass I can do a decent job.

Jose Swenson says:

This is why I’m saving up for a new truck (meaning at a minimum of 3 years
old). My plan is to rhino-line the wheel wells and around the edges of the
body. The bumpers will be totally covered. But for now, this video was
awesome. The body shops always say how complicated this is. But it really
isn’t that bad. Where did you get the matched paint?

BILLYS TZORTZ says:

AN ΗΞΕΡΕ ΝΑ ΣΤΟΚΑΡΗ ΚΙΟΛΑΣ ΚΑΛΑ ΘΑ ΗΤΑΝ…

doublewide6 says:

Thanks for your comment. The truck is my second vehicle, so I am not too
worried about the rust coming back. That is the first time I attempted body
work on any vehicle. I don’t have the money, knowledge, type of welder, or
steel to weld in new steel. I will keep my eye on it. It sounds like I may
get a second shot to get it right:)

Tom White says:

Excellent video. really help

matt mckinstry says:

first this repair sucks not trying to be mean. u did everything is wrong.
you do the grinding the same but you need to band in the metal than put
everglass bondo on first.sand with 80 grit mosture will go through any
other bond but ever glass if you dont than your paint will buble than you
do your normal bondo than sand to 180 than prime it with 2k primer than
apply guide coat than sand with 320 grit it is ready for paint and this is
the right way to do a bad job. not welding in panels

ChrisDIY says:

Would steel-reinforced epoxy clay be a good substitute for welding new
steel to patch any holes for us amateurs?

Chikokishi says:

For all the seemingly professional comments on your video, I wonder why
they are looking up how to fix spots on a car in the first place? 🙂

adrian valentino says:

THATS A BLOODY GOOD JOB FOR A BLOKE THAT SAID ITS NOT THE BEST.. THATS A
PRO JOB 100% IF HE WANTED TO Make it extra special i supoose putting
another hour into it would be good.. but good job ANYWAY

ohmster101 says:

Thanks a lot…but what type of filler is that…and it is just called rust
filler? Thanks again

Eric Hovermale says:

bondo in rusted out holes? Why not weld in a patch? Or use panel adhesive
if you dont have access to a welder?

Roberts Kalniņš says:

Thats NOT a way, how to fix rust!!!!!!!!!

J-Rowe636 says:

Yea, because HONDA ROT is just a stereotype. My 2001 Dodge pickup is
practically rust free.

jonesmw10 says:

Hate to say it, but this repair won’t last very long… Best solution would
be welding in some new steel. There are a couple spots where you can see it
wasn’t sanded down to bare metal, still had some deep rust… That is where
it is going to come back through (aside from the hole). Nice video though!

Shawn A86 says:

I’m 12, and I’m far more intelligent than you. Guaranteed.
