John Galt Line says:

Timely video, need to do this on mt 05 TC. That said, those two bolts can be a nightmare if you just start reefing on them to pull them out. I've had them snap off in the block before and you have to pull the intake to drill them out. Steel bolts in aluminum makes for more corrosion than you're expecting. Get some penetrating oil in there if you can, and especially right after cracking them loose try to get some under the bolt heads to get down the about 2.5 inches down to where the threads are. Last, the "click" is funny as usual, but in this case, it might be worth the trouble to actually use a torque wrench. the spec is only 15-22 FtLbs with most folks recommending 18.5. I've seen plenty of blocks with those threads stripped out, and it's not just the thermostat housing but the intake as well that they hold down. Plenty of 4.6s out there dripping coolant from under the intake in that corner.

How's it going with getting the Montego?

Be careful driving that thing, the fuel gauge reads that it is on E for empty. Don't be a dank, gas up your tank! LOL

Joe Doucette says:

Gee… your glasses are really clean. 😉
Easy job if the thermostat housing cover isn't rotted away or the bolts break. 🙁
A touque and a tee-shirt. Us Canadians sure are snappy dressers and tough too. 😉
