what’s the gap, nathaniel? and thanks.

Roger Hancock says:

Just did this after watching this video, I already knew the basics but this
helped. Having the magnet tool is really helpful.

Katie says:

Do you know how to change the spark plug wires? I changed the plugs and the
boots, but cylinder 2 has loose wires.

MrArtWallace says:

Wow, you need a better socket with a boot in it. Drop it in!? Really? 21
Foot pounds or inch pounds?

html?3593=315679 I had to put a space on the URL but from this picture it
looks like it is a bit shorter. I am not 100% sure but that is my best
guess. Any other questions, feel free to ask.

laryman100 says:

good job well done! also the volvo s40 has the same engine so you follow
the same steps

Chuck Newman says:

Drop the new plugs in? I don’t think so.

spencerthestud says:

Is your car on?? Or is that the cement pouring truck noise?

IisSUMMERxx says:

You wouldn’t happen to know if the spark plugs on a 09 Focus are down that
deep, as well, do you?

NathanielCatch says:

Good to know. Maybe I will add that to the description.

Elaine Bonacci says:

Hey Nathaniel, Thanks for the “lesson.” I just did my car; only took about
30 minutes. After 90,000 miles, the plugs were pretty bad! Tony Bonacci

NathanielCatch says:

Maybe, but I think that the iridium plugs are pretty strong.

NathanielCatch says:

Glad to hear. Keep it maintained and it’ll go at least double that. Mine
has 174,000 miles on it 😉

Dominic Mason says:

Awesome thank you. Used this on same procedure on my 2010 Ford Transit
Connect. Thanks!

NathanielCatch says:

Welcome!

Your engine is so much cleaner than mine. haha.

Great Instructional Video! I have zero mechanical repair instincts. Youtube
videos are a common part of my car and home repair processes. To date –
this is the best youtube instructional video I’ve seen. Camera is on a
stand, lighting is excellent, all tools are defined, all necessary steps
are clearly communicated with no unneccesary commentary! Thank you!

NathanielCatch says:

Thanks for watching!

sugardaddymrbig says:

Wouldn’t just dropping the plugs in have a decent chance of changing the
gap on the plug?

Gustavo Torres says:

Thank you YOU TUBE for this video. The is the best one, now I know how I
can change the spark plugs of my car.

NathanielCatch says:

Glad you enjoyed it. I have some other repair video’s for this car as well.
Check them out!

NathanielCatch says:

I have seen that lots of people are doing this on the Transit. Didn’t know
they were the same till I made this video.

Glenn Quagmire says:

Nate, how’s the car running a month after installing those Bosch’s. I had
crappy luck with them – idle start getting sketchy after a couple weeks and
gas mileage became lesser. Went and picked up the Autolite version of the
OEM Motorcrafts and boom – back to normal. Which, really sucks because I
got a rebate with the Bosch’s as well and had great luck with the older
Bosch 2-point plats in my Corolla and Ranger. I don’t know. Maybe one bad
plug or I f**ked up somewhere.

NathanielCatch says:

My car seems to be running fine. I don’t notice my gas mileage because I
only fill my tank once every 2 months or so. Recently I have been noticing
a smell of coolant when it’s running but there is no evidence of a head
gasket that’s bad or anything so I don’t know. Sorry, wish I could help
more.
