Hello, Thanks for the info. It is still the same. When lit you can blow out
the flame and it relights. The flame is blue in color. The Igniter is in
the flame.

Richard Callas says:

Thank you for the great tips on refrigerator maintenance. I just purchased
a used camper and the drain tube was not positioned correctly. Also, I
didn’t know how to remove the refrigerator vent until I saw your video.

Mike Fake says:

Great Video – simple things but often overlooked. Onna Lee & Roger were
great to talk too. They listened to me, I did not feel rushed in my
conversation. I will update you on your suggetions to the performace
results.

Limited comment space, I’ll be brief. New RV owners. LOVE IT! At end of 3rd
trip found condensation drip pan not hooked to rubber tube, fixed. End of
our 4th trip drip pan not draining. Drip tube sits in small stainless steel
“bowl” behind access panel. End of tube was crimped closed. Not draining at
all. Assuming clogged. Made small cut with wire-cutters just above crimp.
Water drains ok now. Was the line supposed to be crimped? Should I replace
it. Thank you for your videos! They are great!

Ford's RV Training & Service says:

Hello elexwiz, basically, yes on this model, which I’m assuming is a
Norcold, the drain tube is suppose to be pinched, however, it should not be
completely closed. The water should drip out of a small hole so that the
drip is slow. As water builds up in the drip pan, this creates the same
result as the “P” trap on a Dometic unit.

Ford's RV Training & Service says:

Hello Richard. So glad to hear that our video helped you. I will be doing
another video soon with another tip on the condensation drain tube.

Patrick Mahoney says:

Thank for the tips… Quick question for you… if the plastic drain tube
is brittle and breaks, do you have to pull the refriderator to replace with
a new tube or is there an easier way to access and replace???

Ford's RV Training & Service says:

It’s all about education, It’s easy when you know how. We hope our videos
help you help someone else.GBYAY

Ford's RV Training & Service says:

cosmocasper, thanks for your comment. We love it when people learn
something than is beneficial to them. You are correct, it is the water that
blocks the outside air from getting into the refrigerator. GBYAY, Onna Lee

Mike Fake, Thanks for your nice comments. Yes, keep us informed on the
results. GBYAY!

FRVTS No3 Part 2 is now available

cosmocasper says:

You are correct about the p trap which is very important. It’s not the
accumulation of water that effects the fridge temp it’s the outside air
entering the fridge through the hole that effects the temp. I plugged a
hose and let it flood temp remained 38. When I pulled the hose off 2 hours
later temp rises to 42. So the clogged tube just makes it wet inside butt
doesn’t effect temp

Hello Patrick, You are quite welcome. Thanks for watching! To answer your
question, if you can’t reach it without removing it, then you will have to
pull it and set it on the floor of your RV. Most of them require removal
from the refrigerator hole. Suggest you have help, they are heavy. GBYAY

Hello, Thanks for posting these videos, They are very informative. I have a
Dometic Royale fridge. Mdl# RM3663. It works good on 110 (cools to 38
degrees) When I try to use propane. It lights and stays lit for about one
minute then goes out. I was wondering if you know what could be wrong with
it? Thanks for your time, Dennis

Ford's RV Training & Service says:

Dennis stroup, it was nice talking to you on the phone, thanks for the nice
comments. Just wondering how your refrigerator is doing since we spoke.
GBYAY
