Rachel outlines the steps for a simple fuel system refresh on a Ford tractor. She’ll demonstrate an injector tip replacement as well as removal and installation. She is working on a Ford 5000 but these techniques apply to Ford 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000 and 7000 series tractors.

Rachel…as a former tank mechanic in the British Army, and having always wanted an old tractor, you have inspired me to buy one. Your mechanical abilities and instructional qualities are sublime. Your are charismatic, eloquent, determined and strong. A dream to watch.

I have a ford 841 diesel.
Can you tell me if they are the same as the ford 5000? My tractor runs rich and has a 172 engine. Pistons are perfect and head was just redone.
Never use the battery as a “tool tray”. Sooner than later you lay something on there and cause a arc. I liked the video so much I purchased a new set of injectors, seals and a filter housing. Great job Rachael!
Do you need to soak new injectors so they are installed wet?
thank you for
Injector crack pressure ?
I’ve been trying to find out if a Ford 3000 3-cyl. diesel has glow plugs. If so can you please tell me where they are and what they look like?
I’m a certified welder by trade and also teach my trade on a professional level. I as well work on my own tractors, backhoes, etc. Rachel you are absolutely stunning with your knowledge and professionalism on what you are presenting and teaching. Great job on what you do!
I was raised on a farm and we operated most of the tractors Rachel works on. Today I'm a dentist and I certainly wish Rachel taught dental continuing education…I would certainly stay awake for that. She's so well trained and articulate. I can tell that her vocabulary is the language of tractor mechanics. I like all things mechanical from grandfather clocks to high power rockets and I love her tractor talk.
