WELL THERE NOT TO SMART. THEY JUST ELIMINATED PROBLY MOST OF THERE CUSTOMERS THAT CANT AFFORD A SUV. GOOD GOING FORD UR SO SMART.
Years ago I was going to buy a chevy, was talking to the sales manager about the market changes. He told me "GM used to be a car company that would sell financing, now its a bank that sells cars." I left.
The thing is though Audi's are not that nice looking
Driven Fords all my life. We don't need two SUVs in our house. Love having an Accord now.
My 21 F-150 XLT Sport 4×4 was my first factory ordered vehicle. Current day truck prices are outrageous but if you do your homework you can save $$ and still get a nice truck. I optioned as many things I needed and came close to having a Lariat trim minus a couple things not offered on the XLT. Leather, heated steering wheel, LED tail lamps, directional headlamps are about the only thing I’m short of. My dealer sold it to me at dealer invoice and I used my Ford Truck month promotional rebate. I closed the deal at $56k. Yes that’s high but I can’t get any other truck matching my specs and performance, luxury, and practicality for that price. Off the lot I’d be closer to $60+ and without the specific options I’ve gotten.
Oh, and that’s the PowerBoost Hybrid model with the 7.2Kw inverter/generator on board! I’m averaging 22.3 mpg lifetime so far. Not bad for a 430hp/570’lb torque truck.
Scotty I like your channel and all but is good news for me as I don’t want self driving cars and semi trucks as it puts people outta work
A thought….On the cylinder shutdown system. If you change your cars regularly before this system has had time to affect you so maybe you don't care and don't get it deactivated. Try thinking about the poor sods who buy it afterwards who end up with a car where the damage is well in progress. I can see that if the deactivation costs a lot (don't know) it might be a problem to think of future buyers. When I sell my cars on I like the buyer to get a nice good condition car. Almost a '"you do right for someone you'll get treated better by someone else " naive….probably. But worth a shot.
I have a 2011 Fiesta. Just turned 170k miles and still gets 40+ mpg on the highway.
UK/US dual citizen here. The reason the Brits (and all European countries) like the Fiesta and other small cars is because European streets and parking don't have room for SUVs. So if Ford is thinking the entire world is all about SUVs, then they are stupid. Only Americans and Australians like SUVs because they have the room for them. Ford executives should be tarred and feathered for thinking like that.
Somebody needs to hold your hands still while you rant. It's too distracting.
