The price of EVs is going up because every manufacturer is competing against every other manufacturer for materials unique to EVs that are not increasing in supply nearly as fast as demand or manufacturing capacity for EVs. The future is a lot of busy mines and processing facilities, idle EV factories, and sky high EV consumer prices.

Tata makes compressed air powered cars that have a 60-mile range. I'm not endorsing them; I'm just mentioning them because Scotty seemed to think they don't exist.

They'll find out…. Get WOKE, go BROKE. We are entering a huge economic catastrophe. Few people are going to have money to buy a new truck, let alone an overpriced experimental piece of 5h17. These corporate leaders are out of their overpaid minds. Ford will be lucky to be around in another 3 years. If they were SMART, they would make a simple, cheap, durable, easy to service, modern version of the Model A. and price it to beat the competition from Korea and Japan. Give the customer the option to have a sound system, GPS, WIFI, and air conditioning, at an ADDED COST, so that the costs can be kept as low as possible for those willing to forego such things. They could even make it in several body styles including a basic pickup truck, just like the Model A. If they did this, they MIGHT survive.
