From what I understand Ford recently created a new separate company called Ford Model e and financial statements will be completely separate with Ford Blue, the internal combustion engine business. I wouldn't be suprised, if in the futur, Ford decides to sell their EV's directly on line and bypass dealerships all together.
An honest markup is expected. The sales facility and its employee’s do have to make a living. Supply and demand is part of our system. But a greed fueled markup is something else entirely.
Then, no FORDS for me!

Not only are there many issues to overcome with full electric vehicles, but interest rates are rising and most are having difficulties in our Boe Jiden economy. Bad move, bad timing Ford.
There is a reason that they’re called Stealerships. Sales and service alike.
In California Folsom toyota has $20,000 markups on toyota Sienna! On top of that there is a 50- 100 person waiting list! And on top of that when your number is called and you get to the dealership there will be multiple people there which then turns into a bidding war! The dealership doesn't mention this to potential clients they just throw them under the bus! Most dealership s in the California Sacramento area are doing this practice. We need sales direct to consumers to get rid of these crooked dealerships. I was going to buy a new car but ended up buying a used toyota sequoia because of the crooked new car market

The only reason why i prefer dealerships over the internet is obvious because 1 i don't have any online resources and 2 is because i don't want people tracking any items that get sent to me because it would invite people to come snoop around my house even when im home and 3rd and finally reason is hackers on the internet
