DIY Oil Change for 2011- Present Ford Mustang GT

ERRATA: The oil weight I used is 5W-20. “W” does not stand for “weight,” “W” means the oil viscosity rating for colder temperatures. Sorry for the misnomer.

I feel like a fucking idiot watching this, i just needed to see how to get
to the drain plug , this video is probably for idiots.

cheaniggachea says:

do you have the tick? some said they got it after switching to royal
purple

George McKean says:

Hey Jim, Don’t you think it would be a good idea to re-tighten the
drain-plug with a socket and ratchet? You seem to have forgotten that just
tightening the drain-plug with just your bare fingers is not good enough.

Jesse Foulk says:

As a friendly reminder to anyone, make sure your oil drain pan can hold the
entire 8 quarts of oil. I speak of experience. The drain pan I used once
would only fit 7 quarts before it tipped over the side not realizing it. I
recommend anyone get one that fits 8 or more quarts and one that
encapsulates the oil like in the video. I really like how detailed and well
thought out you made the video. I’d give a high five if I were there.

winkawak says:

do you need to torque the drain plug? i cant seem to find the info in my
manual, also my manual doesnt say to torque wind shield
