interstategar: I can’t reply to your comment because your Google+ setting
is not correct configured, but to answer your question, my throttle body is
one piece with the sensor build in. From my understanding old models it is
separate.
Did your throttle body come with a new Throttle position sensor?. I’m
getting the same code for a ’08 Ford van, 5.4L (P2112). The throttle
actuator is stuck closed. I checked the replacement part with Ford and the
Throttle position sensor doesn’t come with the Throttle body assembly.
If you experience this problem, go to Ford and mention Customer
Satisfaction Program 13N03. They will replace your TB free of charge.
Thank you for the video. I just received notification from ford concerning
extending the warranty on the throttle body. You might want to look into
having ford refund the cost of your replacement. You never know! Again

Make sure to file your complaint with the NHTSA. There are hundreds of
others that have the same problem. Filing your complaint will help cause
the NHTSA to force a recall.
If you stop the video at 3:19 you can see the wire colors on the harness.

Was the check engine light illuminated as well or just the wrench?
Yes, I have filed my complaint but this has been going on for quite some
time now. Because this is so dangerous I did this repair without waiting. I
recommend anyone doing this to save the old part because you may be able to
get a refund on your purchase if and when they have a safety recall. That
is another reason for purchasing the part from a dealer instead of going
with an after market.
Glad to have helped. When I went to the dealer they also said the throttle
body was on back order, and they was a month ago. I checked the surrounding
dealers and found several that had them. I am guessing that with them
changing the part number they are running short on production.
I just ordered my replacement throttle body from the guy in Brighton
Michigan. It has been shipped out already. I refuse to pay Ford 600 700
dollars for this simple fix. Thanks guys for posting these videos!
O and anyone with the same issue please go to safecar . gov and file a
complaint so the governement will recall the throttle body. The NHTSA is in
the middle of an investigation into this matter.

These sons of bitches burned me to my wife almost got killed and rolled
over on freeway the throttle body went first canister then canister
solenoid now the throttle body went out and they want to charge 600.00
dollars warranty ran out they said… recall asap im losong my house wife
has cancer…what is the dealership doing..

Jose, I got the part on ebay for 139.00 with free shipping. It came in two
days. My 13 year old son replaced it. It’s that simple, praise God. I did a
video as well and will be putting it on youtube. We had to disconnect the
battery to reset the engine light. Dealership isn’t doing much. They said,
call back, part is on back order, can’t make them fast enough. That number

Go to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and file a complaint.
Ford is now being investigated for this failure in throttle body problems
with multible ford vehicles
i would like to know if you can help me i am changing the throttle harness
but that one i bought all the cables are green and in the existing one the
cables are diferent colors so maybe if you can take a picture on how are
they connected that would help me to get an idea wich color goes first

Problem went away after replacing the throttle body.
One more thing.. my model is a 2010 4 cyl.. those are the problem parts..
the throttle body for the v6, easy to get online.. it is the 4 cyl that
everyone is having problem with…
Because the two error codes are about the throttle plate being stuck you
may be able to temporarily correct that problem by cleaning it with
throttle body cleaner. The one I removed had some deposits on it which may
or may not have lead to the initial problem. Personally I would be furious
if I had to wait that long to have my vehicle repaired.

My 2010 Mercury Milan just did this 2 days ago when I was on the highway.
Same story…part is on back order for two weeks and of course it’s NOT
covered under the warranty so we can’t even get a rental car (unless we
want to pay for it). I went to the FORD Company website and found a contact
link at the bottom of their home page. I sent an email message to the
Public Affairs link stating the problem and left my opinion that these cars
should be recalled. Everyone should contact FORD….

SE model. Problem fixed. I did buy my part from my local Ford dealer for
$180.
I was lucky enough to find the part.. changed it myself in 10 minutes, no
lie… and they wanted 600$.. ridiculous.. make sure you file complaint
with traffic safety board.. if we hopefully get a recall, then ford woudl
have to reimburse for monies spent to fix the problem.. they are cowards
who are actually making 600$ a pop to fix a problem that they know is due
to a fault part.. shame on them…
i have a 2010 fusion se with the 2.5L and have had similar problems and I
agree it should be a recall but ford doesn’t wanna lose 500 dollars to
every fusion out there its a very popular car personal, company,
government, law enforcement etc. but its such a well known problem when I
pulled up to ford the service lane guy that checks your car in (not the
mechanic) even knew that was the problem I was having just goes to show ya
This problem just happened on my friends 2005 Mustang 4.0L. So it appears
that this problem is far reaching as we are talking tens of millions of
cars that would need to be recalled. It probably would go down in history
as the largest recall in history. No wonder Ford is dragging its feet.
On my vehicle there was no check engine light, just the wrench.

Mine failed at the SAME mileage you have. It’s a 2012 Ford Fusion 3.0 sel
v6. After contacting our local dealership, they said the part is on back
order. Can’t make it fast enough. I’ve already complained to the NHTSA. I
found the part on ebay for 139.00 with free shipping. This guy is out of
Brighton MI. Sells ford parts. Ford has doubled the price of the part as
well. I love this car, but unfortunately I WILL NOT be buying another Ford
again.

you save the old part and keep it in the box the new one came in.
Eventually I think Ford will be forced to do a recall. If that happens you
should be able to get your money back.
