JOE DELUCIA says:

did you just change the passenger side link end ? always change them in
pairs even if the drivers side is not broken.

Rondo McBower says:

When you “unloaded” the passanger side, you should of unloaded the driver
side the same amount and it would of been better. The suspension is soft
when they both move together. Its when one side loads up it becomes more
firm, like what it does when the body rolls.

Zac Porta says:

I have an ’06. I replaced the drivers side today, but ran out of daylight
before I could get the passenger side done. It’s still making the noise
though. The other one is bad also, but I still hear the noise on the left
side. Could the fact that I haven’t changed the other side be the cause of
the noise?

GPz84 says:

Vid was a big help. Helped me pinpoint the source of the front end clunk on
my 07 SE. Changed out my linkages today, and the hardest part was having to
go and buy axle stands! Took me an hour to swap both linkages out. Big
difference in body roll now, and all clunking from the front end is gone.
VERY easy to do.

GPz84 says:

Also found that having the front end of the car off the ground “both
wheels”, axle stand on either side, takes all load off both linkages so the
pop right off when un=bolted.

I suggest a video editor….

Chris Rice says:

can i just drive it on ramps to keep it loaded?

KKFan9 says:

Negative bud. In order to do the job, you have to take the wheel off. Im
sure it would be quite impossible to remove the wheel when the car is on
ramps lol. Plus the jack under the balljoint method is just easier in my
personal opinion.

KKFan9 says:

Hello there! I’ll first say your sway bar link is not DETRIMENTAL (meaning
it wont cause the car to not be drivable). If your car is making a popping
noise over any kind of un-even terrain (theres a video on youtube I’ll link
you to, that has the sound it makes) then its 9 times out of 10 the sway
bar link. Ive heard of the K-Frame (Subframe, what have you) bolts coming
loose. Check those too. Overall the sway bar end link was a VERY easy job,
can easily be done at home. Thanks for watching!
