Normal Guy Supercar says:

I realize many 430 people are chiming in on the OPTIONAL battery port in the frunk under the brake fluid panel. I didn't bother checking if his has the optional port since he already had bought the C-TEK charger.

neil dale says:

Mine has a charge port on the passenger side under the dash near the door ? OEM? Is there any advantage to the newer C tek chargers ? I have the stock, OEM ferrari one ! Is there a source for the special ferrari plug ? thx Daniel !

neil dale says:

wowo is that a quick release battery clamp on the negative terminal ? source pls ? thx Daniel !

F.T.P 99% pigs filthy dirty ass pigs they are more crooked than the average human

David Garratt says:

Dan if that F430 has the optional Factory Charger plug in port in the passenger side footwell Cteck has an adapter for it. It is worth looking to see if it's there as when it's plugged in the Dash shows it is plugged in and the car won't start. The port should be mounted up under the dash at the right corner – you should be able to find it easily with your hand – top right corner, just under the "lip" of the dash right by the Glovebox string release. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Ferrari-Battery-Charger-CTEK-Adapter-Connector-360-F430-458-California-599-612/192316637726?hash=item2cc6f7021e:g:KRMAAOSwCLNbMV4F:rk:1:pf:0

housoleum says:

hi, i did not understand this thing with ecu, computer thinks the windows are down….????

imakarpenter says:

What a shitty place to put a battery!

al H says:

Did you know that you called his F430 a 360? Also, in an F355 or 360, you can just use the cigarette lighter. Way easier. I use a CTEK 7002 battery charger/conditioner. Works great. So the F430 can't be charged via the cigarette lighter it seems. Seems reasonable from Ferrari but a bummer.

Dan Halfhill says:

Gotta love the magnet mount battery charger on the new F cars. It’s the best thing to come out of Maranello since the 288GTO (and of course your F430!).

Mark Lance says:

Dan is really a great guy. I love his videos alot.
I was robbed Sunday and have been extremely upset.
But Dan helps alot. His videos bring me joy.

fourtraxer says:

Need to keep a portable dash cam to put in your cars for trips like that, shit always happens when you don't have them or the ones you have are broke (IE bad memory card).

GETUP AND GO says:

I learned the hard way that trickle chargers are a must…now I have them everywhere, heh

Ted Shirai says:

Just bought a 458, charge only lasts a week! Wow u have 93 octane, only 91 in Cal.

kieron 34 says:

I was playing my Xbox one s today playing forza 6 and i was racing a Ferrari 430 just like your car and i got 190 mph out of it lol

Glider 123 says:

CTEK is not a "Battery Tender". The connector, that was already there when you opened it up, was for a "Battery Tender" brand charger.. Would have been a lot easier just to have driven down to the Auto Zone and picked one up.

Full Octane Garage says:

1st step… get a F430… lol. Great video Dan!

Tim Gosling says:

Is it not possible to use the existing battery tender socket under the dash? It is literally inches from where you had that new lead poking out (handbook p114).

opethmike says:

This doesn't help me. I was looking for the difficult way.

Rob C says:

Always lending a helping hand. Nice job. Mine had the connector coming from under the panel behind the driver's seat. Looks to be a 2nd junction back there. I should have taking a pic while I had the panel off.

ANTIVNM says:

If it would have reached and fit through the opening, I would have ran it into the “drunk” and had it dangling next to the battery cut off switch….that way you could cut the power to the car while you’re charging the battery and protect everything electronic inside the car. Yes I know the tenders all have short circuit and pulse protection and all that, but in something that expensive, I’d use the cut off switch.

Racer Racer says:

that made me claustrophobic watching this

Dan The Man says:

Typical woman driver it seems

mousetrap 134 says:
