LEGO Technic 42125 Ferrari suspension height 2 minute fix

LEGO Technic 42125 Ferrari suspension height 2 minute fix

The LEGO Technic 42125 Ferrari 488 GTE “AF Corse #51” sits quite high by default, almost like a rally car. Luckily it is very easy to modify the suspension for a much better look, you can do it in 2 minutes without any extra parts used.

Alex Evdo says:

Finally, it doesn’t look like a monster truck anymore

David Žižka says:

Awesome! Bigger tires with Michelin or Pirelli would look also better!

Hoang Nguyen says:

one flaw this mod brings is that when u try to steer and push it, the front wheels will contact with the mudguards above, but since 99% of the time I'm gonna let it dusty on the shelf anyway, this is not a real concern tbh

JohnnyJet62 says:

OMG! There is not much that Lego does wrong. But… This car looked terrible riding so high. I saw the fix of moving the rear shock point one hole down. But, I didn't see the fix that you thought of for the front axle. Absolutely genius! The one fix that I really appreciated was the video for putting a face on the Statute of Liberty. I don't know if this is the first video, but here is a link: https://youtu.be/GwN4F48Q-IQ
thank you for posting this fix. It makes all the difference with this model. Now, I can sleep at night! Thanks again!

Cormac Murphy says:

i do this but on the back wheels one side stays taller than the other

Thanks for the tip!

Chris Tesch says:

What is your opinion in regards to the investment factor of this set? I normally buy to build but I just don’t love this one. Not enough to take up precious shelf space lol. Think it will be worth much left sealed in box in the next 3-5 years?

Pentti Jakonen says:

I suppose it's "too high" for clearance. Though they absolutely could have designed the suspension travel to be shorter and stiffer too.

Gerry Chen says:

looks much better but still not worth for money buying this most over priced lego tech set

JAG REVIEWS says:

Great fix Lego should have just done it in the first place

8BitPasta says:

You can also cut the springs pre build, but the mod in this video is better.

Meowdi says:

I’ve just gotten around to building mine, saved this video so I could lower it while building.

Liam Gorman says:

Whilst I appreciate the hack to improve the look, personally I don't like the model, they should have done a street version or a new creator model. Stickers on a Ferrari is just plain wrong.

Kaustav Kapur says:

A REAL FERRARRIIII! punch me guido

fillsgarage says:

Much better. Is it possible to do this with the Porsche?

Rick te Kronnie says:

Great video! My 488 GTE is still in the box but I have just finished building the 911 RSR and it has the same suspension setup. Unfortunately this mod is not possible with the 911 RSR. It's already as low as can be.

frankiedoodle says:

You sir are my hero 🙂 thanks so much

David Eyles says:

NICE!! that simple mod makes a huge difference
