Our Ferrari’s fuel system is full of funk and leaks after standing un-started for so many years. How to fix a funked up fuel system on an old classic Ferrari 308 GT4 (other classics are applicable)! If the engine is broken then it may well break us! But, if it turns out to be an easy fix this could be un Fantastico Affare, but first things first, let’s see if we can get that wonderful V8 to turn over and that mission starts with the leaky, gummy funked up fuel system fix!!

Here is the second installment of our somewhat foolish Ferrari 308GT4 project. We are on our way to getting its wonderful (but potentially very expensive) V8 engine fired into life and this first job of getting the fuel system to work is very important. The next episode is likely to be the office building build, let me know of this side of our workshop activity is as interesting as the car projects… Thanks for watching!!
Would it make sense to braid the electrical connections to give them some protection? Seems like most of the wiring under the car is just relying on insulation to protect it and that tends to break down and I’d susceptible to damage.
Ahhh this entire project is filling me with joy! All the little details, the whole reason I started watching the channel! Love it!
You could use some 2 stroke fuel when you first start it will help lube the cylinders
Hope your using ethanol resistant fuel pipe .
Did he ever say how much he paid for this? Even just to the nearest £10k
Excelente trabajo, saludos
After a long day at work ,coming home and watching Ed work is relaxing, sorry Ed but I love how you work thru a problem.
This is the Edd we know and love! This is fantastic. A fascinating project, and it's great to have you back doing what you do best. We have all missed this so much.
From Townsville North Queensland, great Episode, one of your best since the start. Is the Ferrari a candidate for one of those "Electric Classic Cars" conversions?
That old car is in pretty nice condition , Its tough to revive a car thats been sitting for long periods
Brilliant, fascinating video. Like the best part of Wheeler Dealers on steroids. Please more, more!!
For cleaning out pipes etc you may want to invest a few quid in some old fashioned pipe cleaners rather than cotton buds.
This is a fantastic video. Thank you for showing us.
It's great to see you working methodically through getting this old classic back on the road. Also, it is really interesting to see your workshop and your new touches to it.
I would have changed the fuel filter to
I think my Sealey hand vacuum pump pipe could've fitted into the tanks, to withdraw the stale fuel. PS It's great to have you posting videos again. Thanks.
O mestre Ed China é fenomenal! Está Ferrari retornará ao seu tempo de glória!
It's nice to watch you in your old mode edd
most exultant see you work on cars
A lot of super unleaded labelled E5 on the pump is actually ethanol free. It’s not a legal requirement for super unleaded to contain ethanol (like it is for e10 to) so many refineries/brands don’t. Basically, the E5 on the pump is merely a warning of the maximum amount of ethanol the fuel can contain should they chose to add it.
