@goltzhar says:

I see the sun is out…. so this is at lest 6 months old….

@bengraham6672 says:

This build is looking awesome. I've loved following it. I'd be thinking twice about those caliper pistons needing that much of a press. Doesn't seem to be normal.

Keep up the good work though bud!

@robertovers1863 says:

are you sure you have all the seals in the right way round ?

@pete2072 says:

I learned from glickenhaus on fchat long ago to clean and then wipe everything on the suspension down with wd40, that's what he did on his p3/4 to keep it looking fresh.

@Aussie_Wild_Adventures says:

Can’t stress enough, those should not be forced in. I’d have measured the bores and quickly honed them to clean up the bores of the piston pots. They may look smart, but I very much doubt they will work.

@corybodiker6243 says:

A 2004 jaguar XJR has almost identical, break, caliper. You might want to check those pins to see if they’re the same length.

@marklowes5096 says:

Hi Scott, why don’t you get someone to turn down the longer pins to the correct size on a lathe.

@user-kk2kh2mw4o says:

Well the point is whilst dis- assembling anything put them in a Bag with ohh it’s a Box with Brake things written on it.

As you have shown all through your videos nothing is boxed and labelled.

With your lad whom works with you it’s all shoved in a box regardless

@LOrealHardly says:

Is everything getting torqued up, Scott? Are the forced calipers actually going to move? Looking great, hope it goes well.

@mrwells123456789 says:

Also I’d try each caliper before you fit them those pistons should need pressing in I’m guessing you’ve mixed the pistons up across all the calipers just a thought

@mrwells123456789 says:

You could drill the caliper slightly to allow the larger pins

@vintagetamiya3593 says:

Absolutely painful watching him use a press on those pistons trust me they will never work your seals will be shot now you will also need to clean that plating off the contact surfaces

@Mysticmonnz says:

don't trust people you dont know with your stuff!

@adamwilliams5756 says:

If you can't find any pins, you can always get some machined from scratch, if needed I have a workshop at home, I can make you some, I don't live far from you

@permattson7971 says:

Hi can you lathe the pinns after shortening them. Looks like a way to fix it

@PeterWeir1 says:

Are you using loctite on any of those bolts holding brake rotor on etc?

@marcstreiff6067 says:

Take those longer pins to a machine shop & have them remilled to correct length & taper.. Done, screw trying to find the correct one's in the catacombs pf Pompei…

@davidthegolfer says:

The brake parts would have to have a heat resistant clearcoat. I guess you would need to find out max operating temperature and get a clear lacquer that wouldn’t discolour or fall off, and adhere to the plates coating. Sounds simple. Good luck Scott

@BasPlankgas says:

Also if you want te preserve the cars make sure youll have a conditioned storage facility, with constant temperature and constant humidity (low enough humidity to prevent rusting and high enough that the interior materials dont dry out. Let me know if you have any questions!

@davidthegolfer says:

Scott if you get stuck you could get the over length pins machined to fit. I know it’s a faff but maybe the solution.
