A mechanic told me to leave the transmission fluid alone. He said changing it out usually creates new problems. Can anyone touch on what he MIGHT have meant ?

toyota pushed me to wait till all most 10 before changing my oil. now my truck has a blown motor 500 miles after the oil change. yet they claimed my truck had the new motor up grades and was better. TOYOTA LIED!!
