You need to teach her how to recognize a blown fuse, where that fuse is and how to replace it. And give her a bag of those fuses.

My daughter had that Dart. In many ways it was a great little car. But it was constantly having issues like that and dealers were bewildered as to how to fix it.

Years age there was a saying, “Fix It Again, Tony”.

Oil press activated variable lift valve system? I would have replaced the engine. And darn it if the new engine isn't bad as well. What do you mean it was a bad fuse connection !! TEST DON'T GUESS !! How did the electric trunk release make any difference at times????

2011 Jetta, same issue, cam and crank sensors.

@christophersmith5922 says:

How do you tighten the terminals?

@Mirici1 says:

Diy’ers always check fuses and battery connections first because that’s all we know. This would have been easy for us.

@kendavis1198 says:

Stealership probably charged em $2000.00 for “Nothing”?

@kalijasin says:

Sounds like all them shops were just throwing parts at the problem and not doing any real diagnostics.

@koolxxxyear says:

First problem. No start! You mean no crank? Or crank but won’t run? As a tech. That’s the question I ask!

@robleekay6271 says:

I wish you had a shop in middle Tennessee

@joshuacrai says:

Boss level stuff right there. Great job!

@Mopjockey1234 says:

Chrysler with the stupid auto shut down, had tons of these come in with a broken wire in that circuit and intermittent no start. These guys actually know how to diagnose a problem with the parts cannon, rare these days. Great job!!!
