the prior install is a fucking mess.

Haylee Guidry says:

dress up the cables sloppy install

Sonic Electronix says:

Can’t say we have. They will fluctuate with heavy bass hits but never have we seen it climb to the top and stay there.

Johnnie Willits says:

I tried a prefab and it doesn’t fit even close to good and the back seat won’t go all the way down. I folded the back seat up and threw a big ported box with a pair of 12s I had laying around, running off my old Punch 125.2 and when I had it cranked, the battery gauge climbed and pegged out. I had to stop, turn the truck off, and start it back up again to reset it. Ever seen that?

Sonic Electronix says:

As long as you are ok with that loss of functionality, then all is well! :)

Travis Smith says:

No I didn’t have the steering wheel controls so the only thing different is that I don’t have the radio station reading on the dash. I am fine with that I have a 7″ screen now 🙂

Sonic Electronix says:

That is a nice work around to retain the radio with the key in the ACC position. However, do you have other factory features re-enabled?

Travis Smith says:

Just figured it out. I tapped into the cigarette lighter plug that works with the ACC and fused a line into it.

Sonic Electronix says:

The regular harness gets you basic functions, however you need the computer control module on the CR07SR to retain the OEM bells and whistles that you lost.

Travis Smith says:

I didn’t have hand controls or anything. I would think that the acc would still work even with the regular harness. You are not changing any power wires.

Sonic Electronix says:

You need the Scosche CR07SR to retain your factory settings. A standard harness will not work.

Travis Smith says:

Did you lose the power off delay for the radio? Seems a lot of my factory options are gone. Mine was not the inifinity system so I used the basic harness. I installed a kenwood dnx890hd. Any info will be helpful.

Sonic Electronix says:

It looks like your only option is to save up funds until you can have a custom enclosure made. You can get a prefab enclosure and use polyphil but that will only do a little bit to help.

Johnnie Willits says:

I have an 05 quad cab Ram that I’m wanting to put my system in. My issue with all the prefab under-seat enclosures is the ridiculously small airspace. I like real low bass and I just can’t see how I’m going to get that with a prefab. I don’t have the workspace anymore to build one and I don’t have the funds to have a shop do it. Suggestions?

Sonic Electronix says:

We certainly give it our best. Thanks for the compliment!

ripjohnnyc says:

Nice job, seems like you actually put a lot of care and thought into your installs.

oveert says:

1:20 What the fuck? A vehicle with a power plug? THAT SHIT CRAY!

Sonic Electronix says:

Remote wires are usually the blue ones that come off your head unit. Double check with your head unit manufacturer.

Great sound ugly truck FORD BABY

Lilgreen727ify says:

How do I know which wire is the wire I connect my remote wire to?

Shenker10 says:

Re-wired almost every wire minus the remote, and RCA… did the same thing, put it all back in the box and threw the fucking thing back at future shop! ill go buy some thing worth spending money on haha. thanks for the help though man, much appreciated!

Sonic Electronix says:

It sounds as if you have a grounding issue. Most likely with the power wire. Definitely go through it and see if it is chafing anywhere.

Shenker10 says:

2001 dodge 1500, MTX Bass Kit (2 12s, tna251 amp) got everything wired but when i go to put the inline fuse it, it arcs out then pops the 2 amp mounted fuses. What am i doing wrong?

thevideogamer22 says:

how much would it cost to put two twelve inch subs and an amp in my 2002 gmc sierra 1500 ext cab

Sonic Electronix says:

Please contact us at 18772897664 in order to obtain any price quotes.

MrPocoLoco1 says:

I live in fort worth tx and i want to put the best system i possibly can on my 2002 dodge ram. What kind of system would that be & approx. how much?

Sonic Electronix says:

You shouldn’t need any additional parts to connect the ZX1500.1 to your factory system. Just use the “Hi-Level Input” on the amp and hook it straight to your speaker leads. The amp will level match to the output of your system.
Any questions, please do not hesitate to call our friendly tech support staff.

texikalislim says:

this is the first install ivever done so i could really use some pointers the subs are in a custom box to fit under the back seat i went with the kicker l7 soloberic 8’s instead of the 10’s because of limited mounting depth. id really like to use the Mygig head unit because of the internal hard drive for the music but i havnt found anything that will allow me to connect the amp to the mygig. is this even possible or should i consider another head unit?

texikalislim says:

Sonic Electronix says:

Thanks for the compliment and we were glad it was helpful. The MTX Thunder Elite Series amplifiers are a great product and hopefully in the near future we will have a product video for the TE604.

angel93748 says:

Great video, very helpful. When are you posting the video for the te604?

EpiccampKiller says:

if I have a bad ground connection could that make the subs stop playing but the music continue?

Blunteeezy says:

All these videos have horrible audio quality. Such a bummer

Sonic Electronix says:

There will be some minor trimming inside the dash, its pretty easy but if you are not comfortable doing the trimming we recommend having a professional do it.

HemiMr says:

did you have to modify the dash in any way to put in the double din radio? it just doesnt look like it could fit where my factory radio was.

Sonic Electronix says:

The Kenwood DNX9140 has a 6.95″ touchscreen display, it is also a full color LCD screen.

HemiMr says:

how big of screen is that radio

Sleepy731 says:

i have that same truck with the alpine sound system with sub, dvd but no nav,
1.
i would like to add a couple of headrest monitors,
2.
i would like to bypass the no view in motion dvd play setting
3
Add some alpine subs to keep the alpine theme
im thinking alpine Type r 10s, shallow or no shallow mount subs?

What do u recomend?

Sonic Electronix says:

No problem, let us know how it all turns out.

chorstma44 says:

Ok thank you! I will look in to buying that adapter you recommended

Sonic Electronix says:

Unfortunately that particular stock radio does not have RCA outputs. You will definitely need a Line-Out Converter or new head unit.

chorstma44 says:

Ok thanks. Can you also tell me if the stock unit out of the ram on this video had rca jacks? Im trying to put a sub in a 09 ram 1500 and need to know if it has the hookups before I proceed. Thank you

Sonic Electronix says:

Most stock head unit does have RCA outputs. If you want to install a subwoofer without removing the stock head unit you will need a Line-Out converter. This will convert speaker channel wire into RCA output. I recommend the Xscorpion LC014.4R. This is the best solution for OEM integration.
