@alanmeyers3957 says:

They just replaced the lifter!?! Talk about taking advantage of the customer.

@petebetz5358 says:

It wasn't only Chrysler having a problem with these new valve. Lifters. GM had a big problem with them. They had literally hundreds of thousands of engines out there with faulty lifters.

@curtisgore1611 says:

How much to build that motor?

@djsparks57 says:

I really wish this guy was around me. I’m literally going through something very similar to this three different shops a new oil pump, new camshaft, still not holding oil pressure and now I’m told I need new long block

@arniesantacruz4513 says:

Sr rhis new motors are notting but problems

@DREKilo-r3w says:

I've been thinking about buying a Dodge but nobody has really resolved the problem they rebuild with the OEM an its going to happen again at 100.000km .im sure their is a better cam an lifter like hell cat im going to look around

@HARRYSACKS86 says:

@bw3506 says:

Sure I'll rebuild it. Send it on over. If you are truly rebuilding it that metal wouldn't matter. You probably don't have time to do that work in your shop.

@peterpeter5666 says:

These things should not be happening in 2025. The ice engine should be near perfect by now. We've been using them over 100 years. Feel it's built to fail on purpose. How is it all of a sudden alot of Chrysler V8 V6 engines having lifter problems plus the desiel. And now gm having lifter problems on an engine that been pretty much bullet proof. ? Something going on

@davidgrenis638 says:

WOULDN'T HE SAVE MONEY TO JUST BUY A JASPER. REBUILT OR REMANUFACTURED ENGINE
THEY DO REALLY GOOD JOBS JUST LIKE YOU I THINK
DAVID ADAM GRENIS BOULDER COLORADO

@adamjankowski4315 says:

LOL… you already pulled that camshaft and knew exactly what was going on

@Bigmanjbmopar says:

Oil the life blood of your engine so many don't respect that and you get this.

@jimtohmas898 says:

Over 90 k on mine makes no noise 180deg stat 20w30 oil that high temp and thin ass oil is for the epa lol. He puts new engin it it will do it again

@jimtohmas898 says:

I have 90 k on my 16 ram but i use 15×30 oil and i dont idel it lol

@jimtohmas898 says:

You know that don't have enough valve spring press to wipe a roller cam lol must be a oiling prob

@kylebooth2528 says:

Why not rebuild it? The bearings are replaceable and you already took it apart.

@craigschepers714 says:

made that cam mistake once on a chevy. never again or since

@Sunnanandi says:

So what caused the damage to the cam? I'm thinking blocked lube dripper, because the damage to the cam suggests catastrophic overheating of the metal due to running dry?

@HoundDogMech says:

Electric Motors will solve all those Issues. That's ounce Battery Technology catches up. Or the put Elictrified Roads on line
