where did you learn to install stereos???????? go back to school
well for the money that you spent on the epoxy you could have bought the
dash in stall kit for your truck on ebay for less than $ 6.00
I have a regular cab and my power outlet is below the cigarette lighter im
not sure if that screw is in the same place or not.
Do you have the door speakers with the horseshoe on the back? I said it was
some sort of choke but have been since told they are an amp. You need to
attach your new radio’s aux power/amp power line to that amp. I think I
talk about the color combo in part two otherwise you can look it up on the
back of your old and the back of your new radios.
thank you this was really helpful this is what my grandpa is doing for
me..looks real good man
@l200kyd I live a long way from anyplace that might have that in stock, I
am cheep by nature and I didn’t feel like waiting for one to be mailed to
me.
That was a funny response 🙂 I don’t blame you for doubting that I’ve ever
molded anything out of ABS. You did a good job on your home fabricated kit.
It looked professionally done and I do appologize for making light of your
work.
I Highly recommend that you buy the right dashboard kit for your stereo!!
All you need is some duckt tape and it would be complete ;-D
@MrJerry2722 *you *what If you live where I do, no you couldn’t.
Dude have u heard of a instalation kit by the time u did all that i
installed 3 kits wut a dumb ass
nice job
Why in the hell didn’t you advise the viewer to go to the local automotive
parts store, Walmart, ect and purchase an installation kit for $10 ? Back
in the day, we HAD to do this, or mold our own kits from ABS, but today,
it’s as easy as buying a kit. C’mon dude….. Really?
@MrJerry2722 Too bad you never learned how to do it without a kit. Not hard
nor slow once you have the skills.
Hell of a rig nice job
why dont the rest of you fuckin idiots read the other seven comments
telling you why he didnt buy the 10 dollar kit before you ask.. good job
man. people are just getting lazier and lazier
i have at 1999doge ram 2500 turbo disel and i put new stereo in it but it
dosent work well the stereo works but the speakers dont and i put the old
one bag on it it work just fine if you know anythig about it will you let
me know whats the problem
Also, Metra makes their kits and harnesses on location in Holly Hill,
Florida. I had the pleasure of touring their facility while attending the
Installers Institute there in Daytona some 20 yrs ago 🙂 And yes, I have
been in the industry professionally for many years. Molding ABS was a
difficult process due to building a form, heating the plastic, stretching
it over another form and slow cooling it while not cracking it.
THANK YOU for letting me know how to remove that stupid trim panel. I’ve
cut myself about 100 times trying to get it off but after watching your
video, I went back and took the screw out of the auxiliary outlet and it
came off no problem! THANKYOU
Why not buy a 10 buck fascia panel
Great work, this turned out much better than i thought it would at the
beginning of the video. It’s nice to see someone still building thing from
scratch. I think it’s sad how we have become a country that buys are stuff
from china and it’s known to be wrong to do otherwise.
1. I like building things. 2. we are selling our country to China. 3. the
nearest store with the kit is 100 miles away. 4. it is not that hard or
take that long. 5. I doubt you ‘molded’ anything out of ABS ever.
DUDE UR GOOD!!!!…nice job
Thank you so much!
