I thought any injector with a 986 number was a reman injector. new
injectors should be o 445 number
my is overflow is stANdard but cp3 line is ON driver side of fuel rail not
head side or passanger side
i’d like to see the video of removing the fuel rail. my dodge must be the
redheaded step child. it has the lifting eye bracket at number 5, and
number 6 has the safety plate rite behind it. pia to remove due to no
clearance between block and firewall.
does the 03 dodge injectors have copper shims? I was told to replace the
shim every time you take out the injector???
just bump the motor over with the key, and yes you do have to pull the
rocker out or the injector will not clear
Video on valve adjustments please!
Hi, since the rocker arm needs to be removed to replace injector, I am
doing all 6 injectors as well. should I get done with one injector at a
time and also adjust the OHV before moving on to the next
injector/cylinder? thank you.
great vid buddy .
How much should i expect to pay for a job like that?
@Trueplaya38 thanks man ill graduate high school next year and i plan on
going to a college for diesels i gotta awhile to figger out where i wanna
go lol but anyways thanks again
Great Vid … Thanks!
Would this be the same process if I was wanting to install 370’s? And is a
505 more than 370? And if I was to install them, how would you make sure
that the feed hole is in the direction of the feed tube? ( 3:56 )
I want to know if there are any tips to accessing injector 5 and 6. Are
these harder to get to?
yeah mate look on video how complicated the proces is i`ve been sarcastic
joking about dificulties to get to one injector.it should take 5min to
remove injector but in that dodge it takes few hours.
what is the thread size on the feed tube? I don’t want to buy that removal
tool, it looks like it pops out fairly easily
What a lifesaver!!!!!!!!!!! We had a 05 with a new cracked head. The tech
that took it apart quit before the head came back from the M.S. Watched
your video and it went back together quick. Great job and great cam work. G
and T Auto & Truck Repair.
@luvmyctd Adjust the valves, also called “running the rack”.
tool is a cj149 snap on
Lol it does not take hours to remove a injector.Once the feed tubes come
out and the head cover is off it doesnt take that long.Have you ever worked
on a powerstroke 6.4s most have to take the cab off witch takes about 5hrs
not including injectors yet.Inline diesels are the easiest to do.
thanks
Great video. I got a 06 cummins and was wanting to change mine out. Thought
it was a lot worse than that.
Most likely you have an injector that is bad. First thing to do is check
your lift pump pressure at the injection pump and check your fuel filter.
Also you will want to check your oil pan to see if you have diesel fuel
inside of it.
Lol 48hrs labor what are you smoking?
Thanks for all the feedback everyone.
Great video. I have an 06 which after passing acceleration on the highway
went into a rough running kind of limp mode where it will only run 50-55mph
or so. It idles rough now. Very low power. Did battery disconnect and it
still has the problem. Giving code P0204. First time it happened we changed
the valve cover gasket. That was a week or two ago. Now problem back. Any
ideas?
What do you mean by “go over the overhead on the motor”? TDC?
The part number is CJ149
do you not have to input the serial # of each injector for the 05 into the
computer?
Could the wires connect any side?? or there is neg and pos??
Rocker arms are 18ft lb for both exhaust and intake valve lash for
“exhaust” is 0.026.
@olznut He says “go back through the overhead on the motor” then says
“check the valve clearance” … a little confusing if they mean the very
same thing … that’s all.
