Here is a video tutorial on how to replace the rear brakes on a 2008-2018 Dodge/RAM Grand Caravan. I didn’t take apart the slides and re-lube them due to them being in really good shape. If your slides don’t slide easy then take them apart, clean and re-lube them. Other than that this is pretty straight forward and I give all the sizes and torque figures as I go.
Sorry that this video isn’t up to the same quality I like to put out but this was right in the middle of a big move. So the next ones should be much much better. Thank you for watching!

Made a mistake in editing, I left out the part where you are working the parking brake. You need to hold the regular brake while you work the parking brake. Thank you all for watching!
Too easy! I want to see a car from Michigan that has a season or two of road salt, than talk to me about breaker bars and all that!
Why does the rotor smaller but for the same vehicle? Auto zone has two different sizes and they say it will work for either size?
I don't understand at 7:30 talking about lining up the piece on the brake pad with the notebook the caliper. Since the piston spins out won't that just defeat lining it up?
Why not put 2 wheel nuts to hold tje rotor in place while installing the caliper?
Nicely Done on a clean and clear video. Just Subscribed.
I watched this whole video…and I don't even have a Dodge Caravan.
The rear caliper piston needs to be rotated in but not the front, correct?
And is there a way in general, to look at the piston caliper and tell if it needs to be rotated or not as it's compressed?
But wait your not done just yet!
FYI I own an '09 Grand Caravan since brand new. If you are replacing the rear brake pads every year, the brakes are dragging. Do not replace the caliper until you check the parking brake. If it's partially applied, the cause is a parking brake cable seizing up. You will most likely need to replace the cable, not the caliper. Took me 7 years to figure that out. Even my local Dodge Dealer missed it
Why didn't you show the procedure for cleaning the caliper bracket abutment clip area, lubing under the abutment clips, installing the abutment clips correctly & lubing the piston face. Failing to do so can result in uneven pad wear.
that tool is way faster then a 3/4 thanks
a 3/4 works well
