New Control Arm with Ball Joint from 1AAuto.com http://1aau.to/ia/1ASLF00552

Control arms are a crucial part of the suspension system of your vehicle. They not only carry the load of the vehicle to the wheel, but they typically also maintain its alignment. Control arms are typically large and strong, so you may be surprised it needs replacing. They contain rubber bushings for smoother rides at the cost of eventual wear, or integrated ball joints that require replacing the entire arm when they wear. This video shows you how to install a new quality TRQ lower control arm with ball joint in your 1997-2004 Dodge Dakota.

I have a 2002 Durango, I’m pretty sure that mine has torsion bars, so would it be a lot different to do?

yukmouth13 says:

This video is a life saver. It's hard to believe it came along right when I was planning my front end suspension rebuild. It's underway now and going well. Decided to replace the old I-bolts for the control arms with grade 8 from lowes. Hopefully this is a good idea. The old ones were rusty af

gtcherer says:

If you need a zerk on the sway bar link, you have to put it on first as it is a 45 degree offset and will not screw on if you put the link on first.
good vid!

Chris Turner says:

Only difference on my 99 dakota 5.2l v8 2wd is I have a wire coming from the knuckle that is attached to my wiring harness..problem is I ripped it out on accident right now and don't know what the wire is or could have been for? Anyone else have a wire coming from the back of their knuckle?

Bramble Blast says:

Strange…. Mine's a 2003 and doesnt have a spring for front suspension, also, the lower control arm is connected to a rod that goes under the middle transversal bar that's holding the truck's middle frame and i'm really worried about how i'm going to do with all that in the way…
