How To Install Universal Heated Seats – Dodge Ram 1500

Looks like factory – fraction of the price. This is a fairly easy installation, but takes a little time. The pads work awesome. This kit is a little more expensive than some, but you get a wire harness built to withstand time and a switch with six heat setting options. The basic kits only have two settings: hi and low.

You will need

Richard Haywood says:

Do you turn OFF the heated seats by pressing the centre of the switch or do you have to turn the switch all the way to the left I.e turn down the heat then turn off? I ask because if it is a press ON press OFF you could keep the same heat setting that you had last time you used the control

Ed Portillo says:

This is the best video I have watched to date, however like everyone I watch the wire section is skipped over, its the only part that I need to see in these type of videos 🙁

Rick Gillis says:

Great video! Ordered the kit as a replacement for my '03 Dodge as the OEM heaters are not cutting it anymore. I've run into a problem and hope you can help. The upper and lower parts of the foam on the seat between the velcro tape tapers from 11" down to 10". The heater pad is 11". I know I can't trim the edge so any idea on how I can make the pad fit?

Brandenlytle1 says:

So disappointed that kits not available anymore, the switches look great and O would totally be doing this, i haven’t been able to find comparable switches

Christopher Chamberland says:

I have the exact same truck except I have the parking assist button on the buttons display. Question: why didn't you look at adding the switches to the empty spots where the factory heated switches go?

Jaron Swain says:

If you hooked up the heat pads to the 12 volt plug would it say have less power for charging your phone and such cuz there’s the pads using power or would it still be the same as before ?

Talos Sebi says:

If i have seat covers on my car, can i put the under the seat covers? i mean between the originals and the protections ?

Анна Шаповалова says:

You won't be disappointed with this cushion==>allmy.tips/SeatCushion?90    It's surprisingly hard but gets softer with the heat caused by sitting on it. I use it everyday.

Colten Langewicz says:

Why did you cut the part out where you view how you tapped into the cigarette lighter? That’s the one part I need

Roger's Garage says:

do you know if you can change the square flat satellite roof mount antenna with the Shark Fin one, even if just the cover?

Roger's Garage says:

Hi Luke I got a different question I put air horns on my 2011 Dodge Ram I got them from Ebay last year I had them on my other truck see picture attached the way I hooked them up was I just ground the black wire and ran the positive from the horn and splice the horn wire and taped the wire there. it work fine but as soon as I lock the doors with the key fob you know how the horns beeps when you lock the doors well as soon I lock the door the horn beeps and the 10 amp fuse for the right side horn that I connected the wire from the air horn blows. that never happen to the other cars I hooked the air horn the same way. You think if I go up to a 15amp should be ok?

steelman46 says:

i have a 2011 ram as well and im tired of freezing I got it this summer but winter has come early up here in Idaho

Sean McLaughlin says:

Hey Luke, great video! I’m considering this in my ‘15 ram 1500. Only differences are I have the 8.4” touchscreen. Hope that doesn’t mess up the wiring behind the dash at all.

Also, when I looked at the reviews on Amazon I saw some reviews claiming that either pads or switches stopped working properly. Have you experienced any of these issues?

Thanks again!!

Kevin L. says:

If i install this kit. Do the seat can be put on Power on when i start the truck with my remote? Are they activate?

Владимир Чакъров says:

Just one clarification! WISH are cheaper than in AMAZON double even

Mike Kupecz says:

Do you know if this would work on a 2019 Ram 1500. Just got one and i didnt want to pay a few grand extra to get the heated seats. Thanks

Ken Leighton says:

D Bader says:

Ok. Thanks. I'm looking for a spot for to put all the wires and relay.

flex morelift says:

The harness you have in the vid you made, is that just one harness for one seat or is that harness for both.

flex morelift says:

If you had to gues, could you tell me how log they give you..Cause I would like to mount the switches up above the radio on the bezel but not sure if The harness will be long enough to go from there to the bottom of the seat were they plug in…So basically how long is it..R
