You may want to see if there’s power going to the master switch. Look at
the wire harness that goes between the door and body of the car for a broke
or frayed wire.

@stoolie10 You may have a broken or frayed wire inside of the door. I would
look in the harness that goes between the door and the body of the truck.
Usually if there’s a frayed wire in there, it would cause a situation such
as this. Hope this helps you out. Have a great day!

the master window switches work on my 02 dakota, but sometimes my passenger
switches fail, then work? any help is appreciated greatly. 🙂

Nicholas Daw says:

what is the test to verify the switch is bad and nothing else?

1A Auto Parts says:

There could either be an issue with the motors, regulators, or there could
be a frayed wire.

I let all my windows down and they won’t seem to go up. Everything works
but the window switch and my windows won’t go up. No noise is being made

1A Auto Parts says:

@instabad83 The easiest way is with a test light. Test the wire going to
the switch to see if it has power going to it, and then when the switch is
pressed to roll the window up or down, test to see if there’s power coming
from the switch. Hope this helps you out.
