What would make my speedometer quit working on my 2008 Dodge ram 1500 . No lights on .Just dead speedometer .

Andy Luque says:

Does anyone know where the speed sensor would be located on a 02 ram 1500 2WD 3.7L manual transmission? I'm having a real hard time finding it. With no available diagrams to help. If anyone can shed some light please and thank you.

Jonny Collins says:

I had to change my wheel hub (wheel assembly) for the front tires on my 2004 dodge 1500 (165,000 miles) back wheel drive only and on the front driver side there was a ABS cord that connected the wheel hub to the truck. when I changed my front passenger side and i seen no port cord that connected the hub to the truck (the old hub was just plain with no sensor/cord built into it) but my new hub I installed had the cord built into it (which i just electric tapped it up).. I thought that was odd. So does it need a ABS cord just on one side? it has holes for the cord to be secured on to but no port.. the only thing I can think of is the previous owner had a blow out and it ripped it off and he put old styled wheel hub on it or it was factory made like that with no abs port on passenger.. please help

Ricardo Zapata says:

does this procedure apply to a 2006 dodge charger 2.7today it didn't wanna turn on and it was kinds like in limp mode…then turned it off again and turned it on and it worked…..the transmission light was on,  the electrical light was on and the traction light was on….I don't think it was the transmission because it worked after…but the transmission light is still on…the only thing is the speed sensor hopefully…
