On a 2005 you can reach the passenger light without loosening the grill. In my experience there is no way to reach the drivers light without doing so and I was stuck until I watched your video. Thank you.

1aauto says:

Do you have an auto repair video that shows this particular repair. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

Shakiyla Colden says:

DO you have a video for the 1998 Dodge Neoen headlight and tail light replacements?

1aauto says:

The earlier models may attach differently.

ScreamsofTheInsane says:

would this be similar to a 95-99 neon?

1aauto says:

We curently do not have an auto repair video that shows this particular repair.

Geeven Chetty says:

How do I replace the fog light assembly on a 2002 Neon? After taking out all obvious screws, I still can’t get the bumper off.

gregnice25 says:

yes it does, thanks you!!!

1aauto says:

Yes you would remove the driverside headlight in the same way as the passenger side on your 03-05 Plymouth or Dodge Neon. Hope this helps you out. Have a great day! 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

gregnice25 says:

the same way you remove the headlight assembly, is this done the same way on the driver’s side? i found it difficult to remove the driver side headlight for some reason…just curious….

alci ftrdew says:

Jollyboy11 says:

1aauto says:

We currently do not have an auto repair video of that particular repair. We’ll keep this request in mind in the event that we need to make this repair in the future.

Hats off to your dedicated channel guys great videos!

1aauto says:

We currently do not have an auto repair video on this patricular year/make/model. if you have a Haynes manual it should show you how to service the bolt.

jaseins says:

How do you replace just the headlight? The bulb snaps into it, but it’s not obvious how the black plastic ring attaches to the headlight assembly. It’s not a natural fit, so the light is just sort of situated – kept from falling by the connecting wire.

I’m on a 98.

1aauto says:

If the tabs on the headlight are fine (depending on how it snapped) you may be able to drill the broken bolt out and put a new one in. Hope this helps you out.

Ganthid says:

So, I was trying to replace a burnt bulb on the drivers side and the bolt nearest to the front snapped off a few turns in. Any suggestions?

mikedelgado8888 says:

Cool

1aauto says:

You may want to have a reputable auto body shop take a look at if for you, to see how extensive the damage is. There may be a few things that they will want to straighten out for you, so that you can properly secure the headlight back into place. Hope this helps you out.

berryahou35 says:

So my car was hit right on the headlights during a hit and run, so the cover is broken as well as damage to the body around the headlight. I’ve taped over it as a temporary measure. When there is damage to the body as well, does that complicate things and make it harder to fix? Should I just bring it in to someone instead of attempting to do this myself? I should note that this would be my first time trying something on the car. Thanks!!

1aauto says:

You should be able to twist the bulb and just pull it right out of the lens.

aallen59932 says:

thanks, appreciate it

1aauto says:

If you could get some penetrating oil on them it wouldn’t hurt.

Ryan I says:

BAH! such a chore. My driver side light just went out… #$%^!!!!!!!! great vid thanks! My bolts snapped off too! would you recommend hitting them with some Wd40? to lub up the bolts? thanks

AllahBomber says:

Awesome thanks for the vid,I changed the driver side headlight, went to gas station throttle got stuck almost died…pretty awesome tps woot

1aauto says:

If you snapped the heads of the bolts the assembly should lift right out. If the bolt studs are still in the holes, you would need to drill them out in order to be able to bolt the light back in place.

1aauto says:

We’ll keep this in mind, if we have another Neon that comes in and needs to have something repaired under the front bumper cover. Have a great day.

jim raynor says:

Can you make a video on how to replace the front bumper on this car.. Thank you greate video.

Martin Dillon says:

should have done the driver side. It is 10x more harder. I tried today and all the bolts snapped, How would you change the bulb if the light doesn;t come out?

jhflif says:

thank you very informative vid

Fredcetious says:

This is awesome, thank you for this.

M.T. Decker says:

Thank you. I was beginning to think I’d have to loosen the facia and was loath to do so! Headlight installed!

1aauto says:

It glitched because I pulled hard and the light shot right out. So I re-shot it pulling it smoothly and not dropping it 🙂

John Farrell says:

Thanks for posting this. Helped me out. Really have to bend the body to get that damn light out. What a pain… 😉
