Can you please post a video for the Coupe version of the Stratus SXT. Mine is a 2003.

1aauto says:

There is no issue with the rotor being loose. when the wheel is torqued down with the lug nuts, it will apply the correct pressure for the rotor to not move.

shannon jenkins says:

my rotor is loose is there a bolt that is suppose to hold it on? I have a 04 dodge stratus

1aauto says:

It would similar but there might be different hardware holding the calipers on as well as the bracket.

Anthony gallegos says:

would this video also help for a 2000 dodge status ?

1aauto says:

You do not need to bleed the brakes unless something is wrong with them after the repair such as a very hard brake pedal, or a really soft brake pedal, 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

blumusiq22 says:

no need to bleed the brakes?

Omar Chisolm says:

thanks for the upload. have the same car and did this job ast friday thanks to u =D

1aauto says:

We currently do not have an auto repair video that shows this particular repair. We’ll keep this request in mind in the event that we need to make this repair in the future. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

Rafy Morales says:

do you have a video how to install rear shocks in a dodge stratus 2005

1aauto says:

No problem at all. Check us out online we carry nice brake and rotor kits for all kinds of vehicles with free shipping in the lower 48 states. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

ScoobyBaseball says:

Thanks for owning a stratus first of all aha. Also I greatly appreciate this video as it helped me to see my brakes were fine when a stupid tire & service shop wanted $500 to do the brakes, $250 front/ $250 rear. Ridiculous. Thanks again!

1aauto says:

You could buy one to fit a 3/8 ratchet.

vettehead69 says:

does anyone know the actual size of the T-45 Torx bit? i didnt realize that there were different sizes. is it a 3/8?

1aauto says:

You would need this bit in order to get the bolts out.

andrew davis says:

can i use something else to get the bolts out of the caliper if i dont have a t-45 bit

1aauto says:

No you should be able to slide the old rotor right off.

BlindMansRevenge2002 says:

This was great! I especially like the fact that you included the torque specs. Nobody ever does that in these repair vids. One question though, does the retaining nut on the end of the trans axle that goes through the wheel hub have to be removed in order to slide off the brake rotor.

1aauto says:

A T-45 Torx bit is the size of the Torx bit that would be needed.

belladonna086 says:

Why are we not told what size T45 torx bit is used???

1aauto says:

You may want to join an automotive forum (message board) for you vehicle to see if any of the members have done this and can tell you what’s involved and what you would need. Hope this helps you out.

stupidrelaoded says:

unrelated but,
would you know how or wear I could get a rear disc brake conversion kit for a 199 Dodge Stratus?
I have been looking for one forever and to no end. I can find brakes for a conversion, but not a conversion itself

1aauto says:

Thank you for checking out our auto repair video. We carry brake pad and rotor kits for the 2001-2006 Dodge Stratus on our website 1aauto.com . We also offer free shipping in the USA.

streetraiderx says:

thanks ,informative and to the point, you just saved me some cash

1aauto says:

If you have disks in the rear, then the procudure may be similar. On some vehicles the rear caliper may require a special tool to turn the rear of the caliper down, others can be compressed like the fronts. We currently do not have a video that shows you how to do the rear brakes on this vehicle. We’ll keep this in mind if we need to do a rear brake job on one in the future.

tyaf610 says:

is replacing the rear brakes to a 98 stratus similar to replacing the front ones? or do i need to bleed the brakes?

jehdin says:

Excellent! Thank you for your amazing videos – keep up the good work!

1aauto says:

We know that this video is correct for the 01-06 Dodge Stratus. Vehicles before or after this year may be similar, but might not be exactly the same.

jehdin says:

Can you tell me if this also applies to the other years for this model?
