What tools do I need.
Middle of divorce suddenly
Not all my tools available….got sockets thats about it.
When is a lifter first bad vs when its about to go out what's the sound difference?
Hopefully someone will respond with an idea tonight….lol

Which way does the oil hole go? Toward the intake or toward the exhaust??

On the hydraulic lifters, I have a small notch in the form of a salt shaker. Can you tell me which way it goes, outside or inside?
thank you

I know this is probably a silly question, but can the roller lifters be changed without taking the valve covers off? I am going in to do the plenum gasket and was told it was a good idea to change the roller lifters. Truck is a 5.9 with 105k miles.

does the oil hole on the lifter go up or down?

kawi god says:

HARLEY D says:

Which the hell way does oil inlet hole go??!?

Why not just put them through from the top, since you don't have the rockers and push rods installed ?
