I can’t seem to find part 2. Can you post the link? Thank you.
Hi, Brian…
I Enjoy your videos a lot and learn too…
I ‘m from monterrey mexico….where are you from?
Have you ever visited monterrey mexico?
I Send you a huge hug.
Thanks,I did it,what a bitch! Now I have to do my upper ball joints.Any advice? Steve
*ABS sensor- no.. it has to be heat resistant because brakes convert massive amounts of kinetic energy into heat.
I have a 2500 4×4 and I cannot get the front rotors off, it seems like they are welded to the hub, not really tho. All bolts are off wont even budge
I have a 2001 dodge ram 1500 5.2 and I have been hearing a squeaking noise up front only when I turn my wheels, left or right. I am a girl so I dont know that much about trucks but that would be a wheel bearing I am hearing correct? : )
Won’t heating it damage the speedometer cable?
What year is this truck
Does anyone know how tight hub bolts on a 1991 dodge w150 should be? Been looking for vids and can’t find one.
impact works better and faster
You’re welcome man!
Dude , thank you so much, I do this stuff myself but was a bit intimidated till you showed us all how!!! cannot thank you enough for your kindness
Where is part two
Heating the nut makes the metal expand allowing you remove it.
It’s the same
ok so is there much different in a ’99,dodge 3/4 ton and can i still do it by myself?
It all depends on the customer. I say do you want it fast, cheap, or right? Pick two. If they say they want it fast and cheap I say “Get into the Zone!”
i noticed an auto zone box on the floor. do you have an auto parts place you prefer or do you shop around to get the best price
Right on! Way to get’r done!
I had to get a 12 foot pipe and 3 other guys to help pull in order to get mine to break loose.
Hey Brian, I have a 2001 dodge ram 5.9 mag. I am replacing the rear output shaft seal, on the transfer case. Do I need to mark match the drive shaft and do I have to drain the transfer case thanks
that damn things about to fall off
I use either Mapp gas, or an oxy-actaline torch. The trick is to get the nut red and then it will come off easy after that. Getting it red burns off all the oxidation that’s making it bind.
I am “tryin” to replace the wheel bearing on my 94 Ram 1500 4×4..I cant get the axle nut off..I dont have a big enough air gun so I tried heating with a torch and a big ratchet and cheater pipe. after half a day of PB blaster and jumping up and down on the pipe it still holds on..any suggestions?? HELP!!!
Wow! That was dangerously bad.
the wheel bearing on same side on my dodge exactly like that.. as soon as i took the axle nut off… half the hub came out lol no ball bears no anything
You’re welcome- good job!
Thanks for the video. I just fixed my 96 dodge.
Way to go!
When i did my front brakes/ hub assembly it was nowhere near as rusted as yours. Im lucky i guess. But its a really simple job. Good how-to video
NO. Just remove the brake caliper bracket and you’ll be fine.
Brian: do I need to remove/loosen the 14mm triple bolts and the hub nut to replace the rotor on a 1999 Dodge 1500 4×4 .. seeing conflicting videos .. I’m just doing the brakes pads, calipers, and rotor … this set in a muddy field in 2 ft water for 30 days before i could pull it out … thanks, and thanks for posting the video .. well done.
Greg
Not nice….That’s teh joy of poorly made steel. It rusts up and it’s soft.
Its all beat to…….beat up lol
Thanks man.
very nice and detailed. i still have to do my 2500 4×4. 60k on the clock.
Thanks- glad you liked it!
