Maybe you can answer my question. I have a 93 dodge shadow, which
unfortunately for me is a transaxle, so removing the engine is quite
tricky. The Haynes service manual shows just the engine being lifted out,
which leads me to believe it can be separated from the transmission before
being lifted up. How far forward would I have to slide the engine toward
the passenger side to get it out? or would I slide it forward, and try to
reach the torque converter bolts and unbolt it and lift straight up?
Hey Rich. LOVE your series on Saturn S series! I also have a LeBaron and
will pulling and replacing a 41TE like the one here and want to know where
you got the plastic axle seal plugs. Such a convenient idea!
There is no need to take the electrical connections off the starter. I just
supported the starter with a zip tie after taking out the starter bolts.
Also do not lower The engine any more than you have to to get the bolts out
for the trans mount. You will damage the Right engine mount like I did. It
is a special liquid filled mount that will cause a nasty vibration when
damaged.
hey richpin know anything about removing f-250 trannys? i have to replace
my transmission i rather buy a new one then to fucking spend my time having
my old one rebuilt it has over 410k miles on it anyway my engine is strong
but the transmission is crap
There in lies my problem. Ther manifolds are so tight in there. The motor
is sideways and I can’t pull it out myself. I was hoping there was a short
cut.
Thanks for the great vid. Changing tyranny out of 2001 Caravan 3.3.
Everything is basically the same. gave me some great insight. best vid so
far.Far better than the 3 morons ,ramming w/floor jack, kicking theirs out,
tweaking the spline(rolls eyes) I’m in Adirondacks(near Canada in NY)
should have seen the caked on salt/rust. Thanks !
great work though. clean. my brother just typed the previous comment hes a

under a car just supported by jack stands
holy shit you sure have a lot of patients specially on a piece of junk like
a doge I admire your tenacity
@TheDukeofCanterbury I think it is possible after changing the
shifter,computer and brake pedal.
