Thank you! For $8.00 I did it myself. My dealership wanted nearly $100.00
bucks!

Reva Madison says:

Yes Thanks. I have always changed plugs in all my vehicles, and had come
to a conclusiion there were none in this car, since I saw no rubber thing
on top of plugs, anywhere. Have no idea what that thing is your pulling
off first, and had not noticed wires feeding them. Going in, in a few
minutes to have a headlamp bulb changed though. I cant believe that made
THAT such a hard job, and its only 25 bucks for them to do it. That is
another thing I have done since car number 1, in 1959. Id like to get hold
of the engineer who thought that one up.

thanks for the video. i have a jeep patriot. it is the same engine as the
caliber. i just came back from the dealer and they asked for 90$ to change
the spark plugs. i just bought 4 spark plugs for 18$ and i’m about to
install them.

Don’t need to disconnect the battery when changing spark plugs.Stick with
the OE Champions in Chrysler products.Avoid the Bosch spark plugs,I find
more problems with these spark plugs in Chrysler products including GMs and
Fords.

This needs sound. I am planing on putting new plugs in my Caliber and need
to know which kind to use plus a(n) audio and visual guide.

Canff1 says:

Why cant all manufacturers design the engines this simple? I could do this
in my sleep, but I’m scared to try in my f150…. First of all they make
them so damn hard to get to. I think they keep in mind the type of people
that will be driving these vehicles when designing the engine. The
engineers probably assume that mostly women will drive this car and
wouldn’t even consider changing the plugs themselves. Then the dealership
gets the money for doing it.
