@utahcorvettenut ASE means shit. I have worked with ppl fresh out of school
who know less then ppl who work on gocarts. As for looking at the other
side is smart as duck and they teach u that in school. to look at pictures
or the other side just to make sure ur right and to allways double check ur
shit…
Thanks for the video gave me confidence in attempting this myself. I have
my drums off at this moment ,and was scratching my head thinking how am I
gonna get this off and back together, but the simple thing you said just
look at the other side , Bingo that will work , thanks again, nice video.
You have no idea how far your help travels… I´m from Argentina, and I own
a 96 3.8 Grand Caravan (you guy really know how to make a REAL car!!!) and
it´s a very rare vehicle in this country so every mechanic just sucks all
your money to change one single screw ahahahah. With this kind of videos I
can do much thing by my own. Thanks!
@fueledbymusic3 Thanks for following up with my issue with the
wheelbearings. The Mitsubishi video has given me hope now. I ruined a new
screw driver trying to pry off the hub off. I did exactly what you said not
to do.Thanks Again for your support.
@tfortier191 OH I didn’t know that! SO brakes are the only thing between me
and other cars HEHEHEHE. Where do you get the WD40 from? Who says I use
WD40 to spray on shoes? Used it on the brake drum to loosen it, there is
nothing of spraying anywhere else here.
@subinct Yes. When the vehicle backs. Somhow the long bar touching the
splined adjuster. Its pushes against one of the splines and rotates the
adjuster. I’m not sure how that happens. But thats what I learned from 20
yrs ago
Thanks for posting this video. What is the best way to take off the wheel
bearing hub.I got the abs sensor off and the four studs holding the hub on.
I’ve tried to using a propane torch to heat up to outer area of the hub.
Also, I tried using a chisel to loosen it up while it was hot to take it
off….. Can’t get it to move. any suggestions?
I appreciate you taking the time to make this video helping other people.
It has been a while since I changed brake shoes and it was a good
refresher. Many people have been helped by you taking the time to do this.
if you have to reference the other side, why are you doing the job in the
first place? if you dont know how to do it, what makes you qualified to do
it?
@JGorman1 Well you may have a “rusty” situation? If its rusty. You will
have a hard time removing it. But its not impossible though! My thinking
would be to spray lots of WD40 on that area that its attached. (Penetrate
it) Then use a small sledge hammer to hammer it out (if you can) REMINDS me
of a bearing I replaced on my Mitsubishi. Look at my video for bearing on
Mitsubishi

@utahcorvettenut ASE does NOT mean anything. Having years of experience
does. Oh one other thing. Where do you see that work at an auto shop
anyway? I am a private mechanic who passes out FREE info. And plus I DO NOT
POST VIDEOS IF MY WORK IS NOT SUCCESSFUL.
Like this and like that and like this and uh, like this and like that and
like this and uh. It’s like this and we don’t give a f about those, so just
chill to the next episode.
thanks for your videos dont let other people talk smack about the work you
do if you have been doing it for 20 years with no problems thats good
enough for me.more videos of you working on cars.
@utahcorvettenut Its cause I KNOW HOW to successfully replace the brakes
YOU DONT! Thats why Im giving you FREE instructions on how to do it. Just
FOLLOW me and youll be alright! haha
I understand you are trying to help people with this video. If anyone is
planning on doing their brakes based on this video, think safety first.
WD40 will contaminate the break linings. You may save a dime by doing it
this way. Just remeber brakes is the only thing between you and the other
cars.
