I am doing my post install follow up. As you assessed, the Dorman
replacement parts are inferior! The “chain” is thinner and brittle, the
attachment pieces are different and require modification to work and the
overall quality is sub par. I am ordering the Mopar part tonight and hope
to get enough time out of this until this arrives, I am returning the left
side I haven’t used.
Another follow up 13 months later. I left the Dorman part in to see how
long it would last. A little over 13 months and it has shorted out. Oddly
this has a 12 month warranty. I suggest anyone replacing this go with OEM
parts.
I like your video and I have the same problem I wish you appreciate your
help by giving me the information about the harness to the vehicle so I can
fix my car up thank you my e-mail addresses russmyrs@aol.com
@gzukoff I have never used this Dorman part. I refuse to buy anything
electrical from Dorman, it’s all Chinese and I’ve had to warranty ALL
electrical Dorman parts I’ve ever installed. Dorman is the cheapest parts
available. Hopefully this is not true with the parts you just purchased!
Good luck.
@gzukoff Thanks for the follow up. I was wondering what the quality was
like on this part. It figures though, it’s a crying shame the aftermarket
parts world has turn into GARBAGE!
Have an 06 that is starting to exhibit these same problems. Went with the
Dorman replacement over OEM, it couldnt be worse could it? I ordered them
online at rockauto DORMAN 747310 (747-310) Power Sliding Door Module
Connector left $ 57.79 DORMAN 747311 (747-311) Power Sliding Door Module
Connector right $ 57.79 Good Luck to all us Chrysler owners, we need it.
I appreciate the heads up regarding the quality of Dorman electrical
components. I hope to get some time out of these and I will update as to
their long term reliability
Hi, I liked you video. I have a 2003 chrysler town and country, except my
door is not power and it is stuck in the closed position. Do you have any
ideas on how to repair this. Thanks for you time.
What is the relearn process?
