Can you install this without the key?

TrialByFire76 says:

This was awesome! Thank you! My truck was randomly stalling and having
starting issues, couple of dash lights would not come on when it wouldn’t
start and that was my clue that it was the switch. Dangerous condition
stalling out in traffic. Went and purchased the tamper-proof torx set for
about $12 at Advance Auto Parts and in less than an hour the new part was
installed. 🙂

This looks to be the same as the switch on my 1993 Dodge Ram D250. The pin
on the Dodge pulls out and presses in.

Very informative. When I bought my jeep it only had one working
key….which is now lost. Looks like I’m going to do some drilling. (I’m
not paying some hack locksmith to take out something I’m going to throw
away anyway.) Thank you for the rest of the procedure.

Airtextech says:

It very well could be the same switch. Chysler Corp. has been using it for
many years on a lot of models. Mark Hicks Airtex Vehicle Electronics
