Some late model vehicles must have the 12 volt battery registered with the vehicle’s Battery Control Module or Computer after replacement. See these videos on Battery registration and coding for more details on the procedures at https://youtu.be/TGKohKZHzr0 & https://youtu.be/cxOK_DczRGg
Always wear safety glasses and gloves when working with or near batteries.
Just replaced the battery in my 2013 300c…..It was the original battery exactly NINE YEARS OLD when replaced.

Laughs in SRT
What if I don’t have the bracket
Yeah right. It doesn't twist off that easy.
Maybe next video should include how to get into trunk when battery is dead and unable to get into trunk to begin replacement process
great video . ive been a tech 42 years now and this was a awesome video
Excellent video, Thank you.
@2:41 mark that chasing ground is absolutely horrid. Needs to be their cleaned up or replaced, has corrosion all over it. Need to put some anti corrosion inhibitor on it to keep it from doing it again.
Should the vent port not used for the vent tube be plugged to prevent gasses from escaping the battery? This is a follow-up question concerning corrosion in the trunk and your response indicating the battery gasses must be vented outside via the vent tube. On the opposite side of the battery from the vent tube there is an identical vent port to be used if the vent tube is located on that side of the battery. thank you.
When I replaced my battery, (06 300c) I bought an H8 battery (stock is H7) which is 3 inches bigger and at the same price. Better if you live where it gets cold. Hold down bracket no longer fits but the strap will do the job. A smaller hold down bracket to work with the larger battery ( part number 5112059AB) is available if you want.
do I need to code the battery inCHRYSLER GRAND VOYAGER V
ummm what car is this for..the crysler 300 batter is in the wheel well not the trunk
Thanks mate
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. Be well.
Battery is in the trunk there is t any corrosion. SMH
Maintenance pros!
This vent tube is new stuff to me.
1. What's it for?
2. Does the new battery have to have port for that? If not, can you just ignore that part and tuck away that tube?
I’ve never felt so small edit ty for the instructions
