Mary Bonk says:

But then can you calibrate it without taking it to the dealership…. :/ once it's in, how do you get it to actually work? It's still not blowing enough heat.

Stews says:

$36 (Canadian dollars) for the part. Thanks to this video, I completed the job in about 20mins. Thank you!

D J says:

It’s absolutely a pain to get too

Chiaki Nanami says:

This explains the clacking in my 2012 but it also suggests that this repair is beyond my ability. (I've been "fixing" the under-the-car shield for over a year just by kicking it back into place when a parking cement thingy bends it down. That's about my skill level.)

DrumMajorStixx says:

How can I get to the acutor on the driver side?

Connie Palmer says:

5 years later and this video and the comments are still valid. I was able to pick up the part from AutoZone and install it myself. It took me 45 minutes because I had to replace the part on the right. When I saw it, turned on the heat, I could feel it clicking. The most difficult and time consuming part was unscrewing the top screw and literally laying upside down for a long length of time. Once it was out it was easy and quick to install. No more clicking!!! Oh and you will need a stubby Phillip screw driver. Less than $30 and some time..,problem solved!
