I got some molded heater hoses made by Gates from RockAuto (dot) com. Then
you don’t need the o-rings and quick-disconnects. The O-rings I was showing
in the video were for the water manifold, not the heater hoses themselves.

I had to do this repair a couple years ago, and I literally just cut it off
with my leatherman. Worked well.

Is this boo boo

I found people looking at this stuff need to know the little details or
else they get messed up.

Hi, how did you get the quick disconnect off the heater hose? I have a
small leak from the heater hose and I don’t want to use the quick
disconnect anymore. Did you take out the plastic coupler off the inlet
pipe? If so, did you use the dremel cutting tool? I rather not buy the
special tool but if that is the only way to take off the quick disconnect,
I guess I have to spend a little money. great video

What website is this information on (I am looking for the heater hose
tubing to engine, o-rings) Thanks

Dude you are the best…. nice detail. I couldn’t imagine doing it and
taping it at the same time without smashing a wall in frustration…. LOL
nice job.

I don’t mean to be a hater but DAMN THAT WAS DRAWN OUT!

syyenergy7 says:

I pulled off the plastic couplers with needle-nose vice grips. Then I
replaced both hoses with molded Gated heater hose from RockAuto dot com. I
don’t like the quick disconnects either. I made a tool to disconnect them
but they are such a pain I just went to regular heater hoses. Much simpler.
