My 08 Silverado didn't come with one either. 17 years old & 200k the heater core is clogged with dirt. I'm in the middle of cleaning it out & installing a filter.
Yeah, but in the 06 is like my 05 doesn’t have one either and it’s stupid that it doesn’t because if you open that up, it’s gonna have just as much shit in there she’s gonna have nowhere for it to collect so it’s gonna be everywhere

So, on 2003+ GMT800, all that dirt and debris gets forced into the heat exchanger and/or evaporator coil? How is that suppose to get cleaned?
I notice debris builds up on the dashboard of my 2006 Yukon Denali. Took me a while to find out there’s no filter to change. Is there just no filter at all? What’s the debris coming in??
