Silverado have overheating transmission. Our fleet vehicles one needed a transmission rebuilt 3 times in 6 months kept climbing to 230

Michael Hickey says:

Need to go into mode 6 and check for pending codes, let you look at parts getting ready to fail

Gabriel Q. says:

My Nissan started shifting like crap when it got too operating temp and I thought my transmission was going out but the fluid was clean and fresh. It ended up being the accelerator position and idle control wasnt calibrated perfectly. Recalibrated both of them and haven't had an issue since. It had me pulling my hair out for months. Btw no fault codes

robert durrance says:

mabye he should check his transmission mounts or engine mounts.

GMW says:

Was the guy driving in 4×4 on ice? I had a Silverado with a front end clunk that would happen sometimes after ice slippage upon take off from a stop.

Adam Adamson says:

Lol Scotty actually saying he would have not told a customer to run from a gm product. You are getting soft Scotty. lol.

Michael Wright says:

That's what we like to call that 07 to 13 life for chevy trucks. Do not buy from those years! You WILL have transmission issues and you'll have to replace the ball joints almost as fast as you drive it off the lot you bought it off of.

Douglas Liles says:

If the driver lets off the gas in between shifts it can cause a jerky shift.

mr Tree says:

One of my cars tires is flat but it's within the parameters so it can still drive at 75 %

James Plotkin says:

I had a 1995 Buick LeSabre that would occasionally slam into gear and would do it until at shut down and restart, but in certain circumstances, the slam shift would return and not go away until another key-off cycle. After a little research, I discovered the shift from 2 to 3 was just a little slow, meaning it was outside the .16 second limit and the computer told the transmission to go into full-pressure mode and that protects the clutches from too lazy a shift and eventual burnout. I installed a "Transgo shift correction kit" and basically, it shortened the distance the accumulator pistons travelled, thus making the shifts quicker, not harsher, but done in a shorter time. The car never felt better after the modification. This guy's truck has a slow 2-3 shift and I'd bet that when it goes outside a set parameter, the pressure goes up and he get's a slam shift.

Zeek M says:

It's a pleasure and a privilege to watch what you do Scotty.

Calvin H. says:

I've owned a few of them, and it may be acting up when it's cold. I noticed when mine was first started in the morning time during the winter that they would shift weird until they warmed up a little bit. Most of the time when cold they just shifted much harder.
