Kevin Houpt says:

I have a question. I have a 2011 ext. the vent solenoid doesn’t have power to it, so how does it open and close. Or is it just supposed to stay open?

BetaEngineer says:

1:49 Jack/tools cover removed, 11:44 jack/tools cover replaced backwards. Clue: the bottom should be flat, backwards it will be sloped.

Sgt. Hollow Point says:

How do you know if this particular part has failed?

Joe Cunningham says:

I have an 09 Avalanche been displaying code for evap leak and is hard to put gas in it…….. I replaced the vapor canister purge valve and the solenoid……. Worked great for a week then just went back like it was……. Took it in and had a diagnosis done and all checked out fine then they raised her up and the intake line to the solenoid was melted on the exhaust pipe so I ordered a new one……. Then I looked at the old one I took out before it was melted also gggggrrrrrrrr

John Michael says:

Just got mine from you guys for my 07 Escalade I can’t wait to put them on. Good quality product.

SerenoOunce says:

If you're having trouble removing the spare tire, check to see if the tube for the extension rods didn't fall out of place. The plastic tube kinda telescopes and can get disconnected from the gear. Wasted almost a 1/2 hr trying to get the square end to catch until I figured that out.

David Blake says:

Would a bad evap vent valve cause random misfires (P0300) and trouble filling the tank with gas?

CLAY SMITH says:

Just saved me $300 thank you so much!

Jeremiah Hughes says:

Wire wheel and spray paint go a looong way. Oof that chassis is rusty!

Daniel Puntorno says:

Another excellent video, I just did this repair but p0449 stayed on. Is it necessary to clip the harness to the frame? Is it a source of ground, or should I try the charcoal canister next?

Angel Caballero says:

Founded at autozone for 54 dollars, if anyone wondering

Hooter Bear says:

One other question could you just replace the solenoid and not the hoses,

Hooter Bear says:

EXCELLENT video…..One question, how did you know it was the solenoid and not the charcoal cannister? Thank you in advance.

Chris Alerta Alpha says:

So you're not sure if that's the issue. You are just assuming right?

Mike G. says:

Thank you so very much! I followed the video exactly and everything worked. The only problem I had was getting the secondary tire latch to let go because of rust and gravel dust. I am truly grateful and will buy my parts from 1AAUTO in the future.

Bryan Nethery says:

You call this the VENT valve in the video but the title and parts listing call it a PURGE valve. Which is it?

cesar vargas says:
