Brandon Webb says:

How far does it go down on the shaft does it have a stop or do you need to mark it

brandon webb says:

At 18:33 how far down does it go on the shaft

nodozhit says:

There's some so called mechanics that still don't believe that the clock spring can be damaged if you don't tie down that steering wheel before removing and replacing the rack and pinion. I learned that valuable lesson the hard way by dealing with Pep Boys. It broke while I was driving. I was making a righthand turn when the steering wheel spun out of control in my but my car kept straight.

Scott Blubaugh says:

It looks like you installed new power steering lines as well. Was this just because of the overall condition of this vehicle, or is that something you would recommend doing regardless?

Also, I don’t see that part at 1aauto, are those available through your store?

Jeanna Young says:

How do u make sure there is no air in the lines when replacing the r&p?

Jeanna Young says:

What kind of torque wrench do have?

Aspiring Adventure says:

2 things to add. They don't show or state. But when turning the steering wheel to "bleed" the system it works best off the ground. Also to do a 4×4 u have to do alittle more wiggling around the front diff and remove the skid pan.

Johnny Knoxville says:

no flushing of the system before reconnecting lines? How do you know you wont have debris in the lines that could destroy the rack and pump?

Pedro Tovar says:

Whats the part number for the seals?

Manuel Espinosa says:

Is this same process for 4×4 2008 ?

PowermasterJameson says:

This is a great video. He noted that the send/return hose fitting seals are not included with the rack and pinion assembly. What part number are these fitting seals? I'm assuming using the old ones is not recommended. Thanks.

Sam Squanch says:

New lines are recommended?

Pete Miller says:

I did not see that you reused the old boot seal that was around the steering shaft attach point on the rack and pinion. Isn't that needed?
