Mateo H. says:

Pretty sad my 2018 just turned 8000 miles & this is the second thing I've had to repair. First, was the loose screws under the dash now this? Starting to question my purchase. Guess I should have listened to Scotty Kilmer on GMs quality control.

Joann Ranfranz says:

Ditto! easy fix. The screws came loose. Never could have taken the console out without breakage!

the AR-15 Junkie says:

Wow that was a lot of help, thank you. My console came loose, after getting it apart the black plastic piece the 2 torx screws screw into had come loose from the roof, somehow those 2 black screws backed out from the metal clips and were just laying loose inside the console. All back together thanks to you.

What’s the name of the little LED right in the middle, it’s driving me nuts at night. I looked everywhere for things like “map light” or “ courtesy light” but there is nothing in the manual about it at all. I’m about to take this video just so I can unplug the dang thing

Ugot2BkddnMe says:

Let me get in line and say THANKS!!! In less than 5 minutes you managed to save my 18' silverado from a very untimely hammer attack. 🙂 The fix was super easy and I checked the other screw while I was there. Good thing too, as it was on it's way to pushing me over the edge. Again, thanks.

Angelina Pinelli says:

What is the name of those black brackets that is inside the headliner (not connected to the console)??????

Michael Hurt says:

I cannot explain how helpful this post is!!!! I have torn my dash apart looking for what sounded like marbles rolling around in my air vents of my 2018 Chevy Silverado 2500. The sound CLEARLY was coming behind the radio all the way to the right and left side of the dash. I was for SURE there was something in the dash. I watched this video and thought, what the heck. I looked at the sunglass holder itself and noticed it was loose/hanging slightly. After pulling the panel, as described above, two screws fell out!! This is trickery on the ears for sure. If you hear something behind the dash check this first.

Calvin From Texas says:

Thank you for posting this video. I was able to fix my loose upper console on a 2018. I also put a tad of gorilla glue on the screws for added stability.

I have a 2018 Chevy Silverado and those two screws fell out on their own and were rattling around. Thanks for posting this.

Hey Andy.  Other than getting the screws back in, what an easy fix for my sagging console.  Thank you for posting this and these kind of videos.  It helps us regular folks understand.

Joseph Butler says:

I’ve got a rattling noise coming from this area. Any ideas? It does it when I accelerate because my exhaust is pretty loud.

trying to replace interior lights in a 2015 escalade. cant find a video anywhere.

Presidiogary says:

My overhead console just started SAGGING today, and I heard screws rolling around up there. It’s a 2018 Silverado (18 months old) and it shouldn’t be falling apart yet! Thanks for this great video… now I can (hopefully) fix it myself, avoiding a dealer visit!

MadmanV says:

What would be the reason to replace this?
