Thanks a lot. I’m missing an 18mm but so far so good, rusted-looking bolts
came off easier than I thought.

Lance Vance says:

about how much would it cost to get this replaced in a shop on average?

1A Auto Parts says:

If the bushings are worn they should be replaced.

This was PERFECT! My wife’s ’05 Malibu has been clunking for a while now,
now I know why. I turned the wheel like you showed and tried to move link.
One of them came right apart, only the boot was holding it together! It
clunks in the rear too. Is there a similar piece in the back of an 05
Malibu?

1A Auto Parts says:

It depends on the hourly rate of the shop. It may take about 1.5 hours to
repair. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

1A Auto Parts says:

@melbff123 You may need to put a wrench on the opposite end of it to hold
it in place. Hope this helps you out.

Sooo how does a sway bar actually go out? You shook it in the beginning of
the video and said it needed to be replaced because of that but can’t you
just tighten it up at that point??? Just wondering and not really wanting
to buy any unecessary parts and having to mess with doing that lol. I just
can’t see how the whole sway bar has to be replaced…

1A Auto Parts says:

@loser6574 Thank you for visiting our auto repair channel on YouTube. I
checked our inventory for you and at the current time we do not carry a
transmission filter for your vehicle. You may want to check the owners
manual that came with your vehicle to see what Toyota recommends for
transmission fluid in your vehicle.

1A Auto Parts says:

If the end links are broken or the bushings have rotted away, you will want
to replace them. if you are unsure if they are good or not, you can always
bring it into your local shop or anyone and ask if they can do a courtesy
safety check. Most places will do it for free.

1A Auto Parts says:

There should also be a couple of stabilizer links on the rear sway bar.

Do you have to replace the bushings?

bluefrog85 says:

Cool thanks. Yeah they said they need to be replaced but looking at them I
sure can’t tell. haha. I’m taking it for a 2nd opinion. =)
