oh I just found out … on the 1997 Chevy Blazer the steering column is
totally in the way of installing spark plug #3. You have to remove the air
filter, then remove a plastic shield over the steering column, then remove
a 7/16 bolt from the base of the steering column, then move the steering
column upwards about an inch and it will then be out of the way to install
spark plug #3 on drivers side Chevy Blazer 1997

1A Auto Parts says:

There should be a flap you can lift up in the wheel well to access the
plugs. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

For a 1997 Chevy Blazer (on the drivers side) there is a SHOCK or STRUT in
the way of installing the middle spark plug … what can I do?

NeSean Eady says:

where can i find a spark plug diagram for a 00 chevy impala ls

1A Auto Parts says:

@121sabritas I’ll add it to the list but don’t have the vehicle right now,
Sorry.

1A Auto Parts says:

@COYOTE165A It is possible to receive a bad wire even if they are new.

1A Auto Parts says:

@951prerunner you may want to spray the spark plug wires with water from a
spray bottle to see if any of them are arching out while the truck is
running. you can do the same with the distributor cap.

A REDTAIL says:

@951prerunner but you said that you did replace the wires with new ones &
were still getting arching.? how can that be with new wires.?

john doe says:

how do i remove spark plugs that wont come out?what should I do i got 3
plugs out of 8 on a dodge ram what would be best to do?thanks

MileyCyrus192 says:

At 2:58 I see you remove the Air Intake, but I did not do that at all,
because I have a Performance Air Intake Kit and they are way better to have
since accessing all the spark plug boot end is very easy and hassle free.
But the only thing I don’t like is to push on those tabs on the wire loom
to remove the wires it take lots of patient and I was wondering to make it
very easy I should just cut the tab off but keep the bottom half of the
loom that the wire go in to.

PauliGaudo says:

Very helpfull thank you!

951prerunner says:

@1aauto you were right the wires were arcing,no more misfire, bought some
wire conduit and put them over just in case and to keep them covered and
cooler too,thanks again

1A Auto Parts says:

If you can reuse the wire loom, it will hold the wire a little better and
not dig into the spark plug wire like a zip tie might.

1A Auto Parts says:

If you have a Haynes,Chiltons of service manual for your vehicle. It should
be listed in them.

121sabritas says:

What type of spark plug wire recommended for a 2001 chevy s10 v6 someone
can helme

Mark1944089 says:

Sometimes, infact a lot of time the boot get stuck on the plugs…

MileyCyrus192 says:

I am using both method I done 6 years ago. The Driver side I am re using
the very top loom and bottom loom underneath the top. But the one that hold
the number one, three and five wire in place at the very end are using zip
tie and they didn’t dig into the wire at all. The Passenger side I am just
re using that one loom that hold the three plug wire in place. The one that
hold the single wire and double wire in place are using zip tie and they
never dig into them at all.

@951prerunner Glad we could help. I would recommend buying a new set of
plug wires, and that would take care of the issue completely for you.

1A Auto Parts says:

@SuperD104 They sell a spark plug boot puller or removal tool.Usually you
can find them at the parts store. They almost look like a pair of pliers.
Hope this helps.
