Thank You! You were so helpful
Really should be no difference unless yours was so worn the AC compressor was making the belt “squeal” when it engaged. Great video, mine’s @82K so I’m thinking about changing it out before it gets too worn,,
Thanks for this video and for the outstanding customer service provided by 1A Auto!
same here. I’m thinking of changing it as well. Did you see any difference in driving after changing the belt?
thanks for this video or i would have done some irreparable damage. have a great day and thanks again.
mike
Thanks for the video. I have 05 with 127,000 miles belt looks good changing it just to be safe.
Thanks, mine has 7yrs/76K on it so I was thinking of changing it out, not as bad as I thought, I thought you had to support the engine from below when removing the mount, now I know it’s not necessary so I’ll do it this weekend..
We currently do not have an auto repair video that shows that particular bracket. If you have a Haynes or a Chiltons manual for your vehicle, it should show you the proper procedure for removing it. Hope this helps you out. Have a great day. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
i have the 2.2L and its almost exactly the same except after i remove the intake system there is this metal bracket underneath the intake system and its directly in the way. Is it ok to remove it?
thank you so much for the video!!! i have the same malibu with the same engine and when the car shifts from second to third under hard acceleration the transmission makes a chirp sound , but alot of forums i read about other cars that have this problem say it is the belt that needs replaced and i guess with 115,000 miles on the car i should replace it , again thanks for the vid it will really help
Thank you for checking out our 04-08 3.5 Liter Chevy Malibu serpentine belt replacement video. Have a great day!
