no pretty sure if that is happening its a bad fuel pressure regulator
the car was able to start right away when i turn the car on
Great video
Thanks for watching. It may be a coincidence, you may want to check the connections on the back of the radio to see if there are any signs of a wire possibly over heating. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
The only weird thing too me is that last week I put a new stereo in and now all of a sudden today my alternator went out

Hello 1A Auto…
I would like to thank you for this video. My alternator gave out and used this video to change it myself on a 2005 Malibu. I ended up saving a couple hundred bucks by doing it myself. Thank you!!!!
Cool
very well done — thanks !!

Hi, when I went to buy a new alternator, there were 2 alternator models: the 105 AMP and the 125 AMP. what´s the difference and how do I know which one to get. Thanks
Sure, any loose or corroded electrical connection in the wiring could very well cause a bad charge situation.
Is it possible for the alternator and battery to begin “playing nice” again after the power contacts on the starter solenoid are cleaned and bolt tightened? Because that’s what I did and no more battery light. Is this possible? Would the loose nut on the starter solenoid cause an open connection somehow and force the system to drain the battery???
If there isn’t a volt gauge in the car you may want to check to see if the alternator is putting out the correct charge with an ohm meter. It is possible to receive a bad “NEW” alternator. Hope this helps you out.
Problem: I have a constant battery light on.
Car: 2000 Impala LS v6 3800
Replaced the alt with Brand new 125V Bosch (non-rebuild).
Battery has been charged twice and checked as GOOD at AutoZone.
The alt regulator cable has good ground as far as I can tell.
Main battery ground is spotless, great contact.
Have checked all fuses for blow.
Still the battery does not seem to be receiving power from the alternator like it should and battery light constantly on.
I’m afraid it will drain AGAIN…Help?
I will let her know thank you lots.
You may also want to see if there’s a draw on the battery, whicj could also drain it over night, or durning the day depending on what it is.
Hi I have a question, My aunt has an 03 Chevy Impala. She has to constantly charge her battery, This is now her 3rd battery change. The car was bought from a Buy Here Pay Here lot. She had it looked at on the lot yesterday morning the mechanics on the lot said the alternator is good, but not so sure what could be causing the problem. Could it somehow be that the alternator is not hooked up right, Or is it the wiring on the battery? Can you please help me out thank you very much. -Ashley
Thats exact same problem im having
If the bearing in the alternator have gone bad, they typically will make a noise.
I have a 2003 Impala and its making an awful noise from the alternator area. Is this possibly bad alternator bearings?
Something like that with the battery could just be a bad cable. GM vehicles as well as Fords were known for having bad wire that would actually deteriorate from the inside out. The issue with the blower motor just means you will have to replace the blower motor because the windings inside the motor casing are bad.
You may want to clean the battery terminals and tighten everything down so that you have a good electrical connection to start. There may be a loose connection on the AC system, if you bang it and it comes on. You may want to remove the panel and check the connections.
@ 1aauto i have 2000 impala ls with 2002 battery would that matter? also teh cable on the battery i have to keep moving it around just 2 start it up…do you think its shortage in my wires? also my ac light is on but doesnt blows when turnin it on right it comes on its self after a while or sometime i have to hit it for it to blow heat or cold air…can you help me thankz!
It could, you may also want to clean and tighten the connections going to the battery as well. A loose of dirty battery cable could also do this. Hope this helps you out. Have a great day. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
thanks for answer me…..it runs but has bad reads
Loved the video btw you make it seem so easy and effortless!
Would the alternator cause the car just to cut off when you are driving but cranks right back up? I was told it could be the alternator or one or both of the crank shaft poisitioning sensors
It could be a bad switch, window motor, or if it seems to be an intermittent issue, check the wire harness between the door and body of the car for a frayed or broken wire. Hope this helps you out.
It depends on what the issue is. If it uses a cable, it could be a bad cable.
