This was so helpful, worked the same for my 2007 Montana SV6. The hardest
part is pulling the headlight assembly out, you really do have to be
stubborn with it. If you use a screwdriver to pry up and remove the pin
holding the front grill cover (at 1:32, just to the left of the wrench,
middle of the the picture), it makes getting the rubber gasket out of the
way a bit easier. Tip for a cold day — you can disconnect the power to the
assembly and take the whole thing indoors to replace the bulb in comfort.
Great video!! I had to replace the lights in my 2005 Saturn Relay, same
body style. I knew there had to be a few hidden tricks to it. I followed
your video and changed out both of the low beam lights. It took a little
longer than the 8 minutes in the video, but was still done within 30
minutes. Thanks for the help!!
Thanks for the video. It was great help. My head light was stuck in the
right side. But because of your video I could pull so nicely. Great help.
Really appreciate it.
Awesome! I was ready to scream because I couldn’t get the assembly to come
out. But you showing the rubber seal getting stuck, and just needing to
pull it out; helps to watch someone else, so I know I’m not going to break
it. Thanks a ton.
Thanks much for this video. I was stumped and a bit worried about breaking
something on my first attempt at taking out the light assembly; seeing this
video let me see that it really is a case of it being that stubborn to
remove.
i got home last night and when i looked at it i thought god how much is the
shop gonna charge for changing the lights, THANKS for the clip it was the
best. BJ
Thanks to your video- this young single mom was able to change her own bulb
and feel great about being able to be independent and not have to call on a
man to do it for her. Thanks again!
Thanks a lot! Just for note: Chevrolet, Buick and Saturn are all the same
model for 2006. I have a 2006 Saturn Relay 3. I was pretty sure that all I
had to do was pull the pin and take off the 10mm bolt, but your input about
the seal getting stuck is what saved the day. I couldn’t figure out how to
get it out otherwise. Thanks again!
Great video, save money, DO IT YOURSELF!!!
thank you!
thank you very much
Same as the 06 montana right?
after viewing video and getting my 10mm the job took less than 2
minutes…awesome!
Thanks Clint! I was worried I’d break it, but your video made the whole
process way easier.
Thanks for your help!
Thank you. Very helpful!
