Love my Equinox, but an absolute PITA when it comes to having to take all
that plastic off to access anything!!!

I’d get a newer model, the 2005,06 have a lot of problems with them and for
a lot of people they are money pits. Make sure to take it for a test drive,
make sure the tires are equally spaced from the fender on each side in the
front (wrecks/alignment issues). Just listen for any unusual noises and
filter out a lot of what the car salesman says. Good luck
